For those of you who look forward to the weekends all week long, chances are Friday night fun means a late night and possibly a few too many drinks! Going all out can make Saturday morning lack its usual prestige, especially when you’re too tired to even enjoy it. Some of us have to take a rest day, while others hit the gym or another bar! Everyone is different, so do tell, how do you recover from a wild night out?

Drink some of Vitamin Water's "revive". I swear on it. It tastes faintly of fruit punch and has B vitamins to wake you up and potassium, which you lose a lot of while drinking.
1I drink Pedialyte (or another electrolyte replacer) before I go to bed. Come morning, no hangover!
2I just make sure I take tylenol while/before/after I'm partying and drink water every now and then.
3I haven't a 'drunk' night...in 19 years (high school)...so this will be fun to read!!
4amloveaffair, do you mix alcohol with Tylenol? Is that safe?
Mesayme, 19 years? Wow!
No matter how drunk I am, I make sure I take my make up off and put on moisturizer before going to bed. In the morning, I add some instant coffee to cold coke zero and drink it. It sounds disgusting but it works.
5i go to sleep. that's how i recover
6i don't get hangovers, so i'm kinda set.
Lots of Gatorade and sleep!
7moonwater, my mother's an alcoholic, that, and allergies will cure the desire!
I do
think drunks are extremely entertaining...from a distance though lol
8I get the worlds worst hangovers. Im usually throwing up in the morning, so after that I pop an advil, drink some water and go back to bed for awhile. If anyone has any tips to avoid the throwing up phase let me know.
9just a hunch... drink less. Your level goes from tastes good to tastes like poison, that's why your body is trying to save you.
10As soon as I get home I eat something, usually leftovers. When I get up I drink lots of water and soup, especially if I made a batch of my moms recipe the night before. I've found no matter how much I drink, if I eat before going to bed I never wake up with a hangover.
11Tomato juice works!
12It depends on how wild the night, but usually I have two headache pills before I go to bed and then sleep very late the next day, if possible, plus a greasy breakfast.
13Mesayme: "just a hunch... drink less. Your level goes from tastes good to tastes like poison, that's why your body is trying to save you."
Agreed.
I don't really drink...
14Yeah. Drink less, and when you do drink, don't go for the cheap stuff. I wish that someone had told me that early in my college years...
15Drink water. Drink some more water. Drink water when you don't want to drink any at all. And then shower and sleep. I don't like to drink a lot either, but it can catchup on you quick sometimes!
16Water & sleep the entire day away.
17Oh, and showers. At least 2.
18taco bell. really though...
19Vitamin B usually right before, and pancakes right after. The next morning, I down a bottle of water, or some gatorade, and some more vitamin B.
20Yeah, I definitely agree with Mesayme, I'm in college, and i'm supposed to be partyin' hard but i honestly hardly ever drink. 2-3 drinks are my max when i do decide to drink (which is honestly 3 or 4 times a year), and that gets me a bit tipsy, but I try to never ever get past that point because that's when the hangovers come into play... I just don't see a point to getting sick and feeling like crap and even blacking out
21I always make sure I have nothing planned the entire next day and do nothing but SLEEP.
22I sleep, eat good, maybe pop some Ibuprofen
23after i'm drunk i replace my drink with water bc at that point you DONT need more....but you're still going thru the motions of drinking...you don't even know you're drinking water really...just try it. also, have someone order drinks and make yours a water bc sometimes just ordering the cup of h20 for yourself is hard bc rum/coke flies out of your mouth.
24i also forgot to add a gross suggestion: sometimes the morning after a night of beer or hard liquor (not really for wine) you get the sh*ts in the AM... try to eat something fiber-y (greasy food usually just makes you feel worse) in the AM bc as soon as you get those out you'll on the road to recovery.
25Ive never had one. i just avoid drinking... doesnt that sound easier than having to deal with that sh*t in the morning?
26I'm glad there are so many people that don't drink....(good for you! Seriously...), but that's not what this is asking! Instead of lecturing....answer the question!
27Thanks for saying it, pinkflake! We ALL know it's better not to, but that doesn't stop most of us from having a night or two of exaggeration! Back to the topic- the Pedialyte thing works amazingly! Just get it in the baby section of any drugstore. Otherwise, water, water WATER and a big brekkie the morning after. That said, be careful with the throwing up part, though richkidblues- that's a sign that your tolerance is WAY lower then you think and your body is trying not to be poisoned. I try to always stick to the 1 wine, 1 water pattern.
28I usually drink warm base powder water. It works like magic for me.
29When I do drink I'll just make sure to drink plenty of water. I usually don't feel like doing anything though the night after a big night out. ;p
30Greasy breakfast and mimosas!
31Everything bagel with one egg and cheese, large coffee, 2 liters of water, vitamins, extra sleep!!
32I take a B vitamin BEFORE going out drinking. Also, drink a ton of water before hand, try to drink some during, and definitely drink water afterward.
33It sounds weird but I ALWAYS crave eggs aftr a big night of drinking. So the next morning, its usually eggs (prepared any way), tea, ibuprofen, and water (a given). I just wish I had remedies 4 the more visible effects (puffy face, dull complexion, etc.)
34I drink as much water as I can as soon as you get home, and sleep with a bottle of water next to the bed for when I wake up in the middle of the night. If I still have a headache after all the water, I go for a short run the next morning, and when I get back the night of drinking is completely forgotten.
35I am currently nursing a hang over right now. Go me! A few people seem to agree with my philosophy of "drink water until you puke or feel better." If you wake up continuously during the night it's because your body is dehydrated, so get up and drink water then too.
36It depends on the hangover, this morning I woke up and crawled into a hot bath then returned to bed. Now I am going to eat a large meal and drink more water!
Work out if I can. Running seems to get rid of the toxins (plus it forces me to drink more water!)
37McDonalds.
Sleep.
Complain.
38If it was a bad night...McDonalds, joints, lay in bed
39Sometimes tho I get an urge to clean and do that
I drink water in between drinks. And then down a whole glass right before bed and pop some tylenol. Plus I make sure I have plenty of time to sleep in the next day. (:
40It depends on the type of hangover- the whole body hangover or the stomach hangover. The whole body hangover usually involves hanging out in bed with tons of water and a burrito (generally a classic burrito from El Pollo Loco)
Stomach hangovers to me suck more because I generally feel great until I try to eat then I feel like complete sh*t. All I can do with that is not eat and just drink tons of water
41two paracetamol with three glasses of water and then sleep! perfect in the morning!
42Water between every drink and loads of it before I go to bed.
Wake up to a glass of water, a cup of coffee and if I feel really shocking mix lemon juice and a spoon of sugar with warm water and throw it down. It tastes gnarly but chase it with a berocca and your set.
43Ibuprofen + paracetamol mix when I wake up early in the morning, lots of water and back to bed for a few hours more! When I wake up properly, I'll have breakfast with orange juice and a vitamin.
My body could deal with hangovers at one time and I could still be functional, but it's just not as easy any more!! I try to make sure I don't have much to do the next day because it's usually a total loss.
44whats a wild night?
451. Coffee
2. Chocolate Milk
3. Face Mask (cos I usually forget to wash my face and dont want to break out)
4. Couch
46Hmm, usually I try to switch to water at some point in the night, or if I started with harder drinks, go to beer. The next morning I do a honey mask, a naked juice, and a hot shower. That usually does it for me.
47hair of the dog. when you can't sleep the day away, have a beer or a shot, whatever you drank the night before, it won't get you drunk, or even buzzed, but it will make you feel so much better. that and greasy food for lunch will make you forget last night.
48Lots of water before going to bed, and some pain med that contains e.g. ibuprofen.
No Paracetamol or Tylenol because the liver already has to deal with breaking down the alcohol, and both drugs affect the liver metabolism.
The next day: lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, salads. Bland food like steamed rice and vegetables if the hangover is bad and the stomach feels queasy. Fat food - unless it's fat from e.g. olive oil, walnut, safflower - is another urban myth, as it also affects the liver metabolism.
49Usually something carbonated to settle my stomach...gingerale or diet coke are my favorites.
I usually take an aleve and get plenty of rest.
But above all... I have to eat Chipotle to cure my hangover.
A Burrito bol (or sometimes a cheeseburger) will get me right back at 110% in no time.
