The Lakers kicked off its NBA season last night and it was, as it always is, a star-studded event. There were gorgeous men lining the court and although some of the fans were there to socialize and be seen, a lot of them were there for the love of the game — Leo and Jack to name a few!

Guys who love sports have always been attractive to me. Yes, I happen to like sports, too, but I think it's a turn on to watch men watch sports. Perhaps that's a weird requirement for the guys I date, but ladies, tell me, is a guy being a sports lover important to you, too?

i wouldn't say it's a "requirement," but like you, dear, it's a turn on, and i guess all the guys i've ever been interested in have been sports fans
guys generally are, and those who aren't are likely feminine in more ways that wouldn't exactly be my taste anyway
1I agree, not a requiremnt, but definatly a turn on. My boyfriend played baseball and football his whole life. Infact...I think just about every guy Ive ever dated played baseball at some point. and soccer players are delicious! (Hello, David Beckham!)
2Def not a requirement but it is a turn on. It's cute to watch them getting all crazy over sports. My man loves to try to tell me what is going on during football games (baseball is my game). I still have no idea what they are doing except for a lot of falling down and running around. It's sweet that he tries though.
3No, but being a Motley Crue lover is!
4nope, I'm not into sports and I don't like it when my guy is.
5I could go either way. Its hot when they like the same teams as me, but then I also kinda think its cute when they have no freaking clue and couldnt care less about sports teams!
6Not a requirement in my book, but I just so happen to always date sports maniacs!
...I am only a maniac about baseball I suppose
7uhhh i looove tommy lee. k8 rckstr has a good point. motley crue means little to me, but tommy lee is SMOKIN HOT!
8it also is fun when you like different teams, but in my case, it can get you in trouble: i bet on a hockey game the other night and lost to my bf so now i owe him a fancy dinner wherever he chooses! damn him! he is always the dinner-buyer!
9Tommy Lee is delightful... and fellow Crue member... Nikki Sixx...mmm
10My boyfriend watches football, baseball, etc and it's definitely a turn on...I don't think I could date a guy that wasn't into it. I get turned on when the guy actually plays sports too.
11I love sports so I wouldn't want my guy not to be into sports.
12It is for me...he has to be active in some way. I'm not as active as I once was, I wore myself out in my teens and 20's. But I love watching and rooting for football, basketball and hockey. So he would need to also. My ex-husband was a sports dud and it just killed me that he sits quietly at a game or didn't want to host game parties. So I wouldn't do that again.
13I would feel awkward if I was with a guy and I was into sports more than he was!
14It is for me...he has to be active in some way. I'm not as active as I once was, I wore myself out in my teens and 20's. But I love watching and rooting for football, basketball and hockey. 15Total requirement. He has to watch football with me!
162 posts? IDK...sorry.
17i don't care if he's a huge fan of certain sports or teams, as long as he is athletic! THAT is the turn-on!
18My boyfriend (being from the East Coast) and I (being from Alaska) both love hockey! It's not a requirement, though.
19as long as my boy is a Yankee fan and can sit there through all the games with me thats all that really matters. being an all around sports fan is a plus but really its just the Yankee thing that i need
20TOTALLY a requirement! I'm obsessed, so we wouldn't have enough in common if he didn't
Btw, Dear being from Portland I did not enjoy the game last night too much!
21Nope. I am not usually a fan of sports so I prefer it if my men don't like sports either.
Notice I said "usually." Because I happen to be a big frontrunner and I have been watching baseball obsessively for two weeks. But after the World Series, I'll return to being completely apathetic.
P.S. GO PHILLIES!
22I'm a big Boston sports fan so it is definitely a requirement for me. I'm pretty open minded about what teams a guy is a fan of...as long as it isn't the Yankees of course!
23Yes, I like sports. I also think it's sexy when a guy gets really into watching a game.
24Definitely not a requirement and certainly not a turn on. In fact, it's actually a turn off. My husband isn't an avid sports fan, at all, and obviously neither am I. We'll both watch the Superbowl, but um, yeah... that's it.
25Not a requirement, but it would be nice as I am a sports lover. However, my one requirement regarding sports fans, is no fans of Boston/New England sports franchises or Raiders/Broncos fans - yick!
26I definitely like guys who are into sports... I don't watch games all that often on my own, mostly Red Sox games when I'm not doing anything else, but I love watching with other people, and it could only be better with a guy I'm with.
27I LOVE sports. Every woman in my family does. However, my dad has never been much of a sports watcher. I like watching games with my guy friends though, and I know that's something I'd want to share with my boyfriend or husband. So I'm going to say requirement.
28I have season tickets for Michigan Football and fly in at least 4 games a year (and usually do one away game) so yes, I take my sports VERY seriously
I love a lot more than just UMich, but for me I think that's the dealbreaker. My boyfriend went to UMich, and is actually as big (or maybe now a bigger) of a fan now as I am!
29i think it's a turn off if the guy is too into sports. remember fever pitch with drew barrymore and jimmy fallon? it's okay if he likes it and such.
30i think that it's a nice quality to have - for my man to love sports. it's funny - my fiance is from dallas and therefore is a BIG cowboys fan, but he doesn't get very heated during games which is a good thing i guess. i like to go to sports bars and hang out and do all that fun stuff. i don't know if it's a deal breaker if the guy doesn't like sports, but it's a nice thing.
31Ugh, spectator sports are so pointless.
32It's a requirement for me. I grew up in an intense hockey family and as a result, I know more about hockey than most girls in this country. I would feel weird dating a guy that could care less about sports or had never played sports growing up.
33I hate sports.
34My boyfriend isn't into sports. actually most guys I've dated haven't been the stereotypical sports guy. it's probably a reaction to my dad being a little too obsessed with Alabama football. I don't hate sports & I'll watch an "important" game every now & then, but it's not a turn on for a guy to be into sports.
35Being an [organized] sports lover is a turn off for me. With few exceptions, I'm bored by sports.
36I don't find it to be a turn on necessarily, but yes it'd be nice to date a sports lover. I grew up always having guy friends so I love going to football and hockey games and all that. So it's nice to just spend a day with my boy and his friends zoning into the game, or let him spend a day with his buds.
37well, i'm such a freak over the olympics. every time it's olympic year .. i'm super excited. lol. as for seasonal sports, i only follow basketball .. actually laker basketball specifically. lol. i grew watching them, so the sport is special to me.
but if my boyfriend wasn't into sports, that'd be fine. he wouldn't have to see me go insane watching a game as i yell at the TV .. now if he was a laker hater, that'd be a problem.
38No - I usually date guys who are more into music/ film/ etc. But I do enjoy going to basketball games back home in Texas, so I'd want him to be openminded, obviously. I think sports are fun but I'd much rather go in person than waste time watching games on TV.
39YES! My job is often sports-related, so I love going to games, watching games, discussing games, etc. I thought I would try to date a guy not into sports, since I was meeting so many that I thought just wanted to hang with me for the tickets I was getting... well the non-sports guy was such a bore to hang out with. I couldn't talk to him about ANYTHING! Don't get me wrong, I sound like a sports nut, but I am into music, movies, etc... so sports talk isn't the only thing I'm bringing to the table. But, I need a guy who is into it!!
40Nope and I'm so glad my boyfriend doesn't watch them!
41It's a requirement for my bf to NOT be into sports. I hate crazy sports fans.
Lucky for my bf, he isn't a sports fan or he would have to be out the door, lol
I love him so much!!
42Not required at all. It's actually cute that my lady actually will put in the effort & sit through a football game with me at home or at me bar, with about 40 screaming fans in the background. Now if it's a baseball game, she's right in the mix with me. The only thing we can't talk about is stats.
