Red has always been bold, but as it turns out, now it's officially sexy! A new study, as reported by Reuters, offers evidence that men are attracted to women in red. Researchers showed young heterosexual men pictures of women wearing different colors and asked them to rate the women by attractiveness and their desire to both kiss and have sex with them. Needless to say, red was the clear winner. 
The study didn't offer any specific explanations for why the color red has this effect on men, except to say it could be an evolutionary trait or just the fact that red has long been associated with love. I'm no evolutionary scientist, but my bet's on the fact that for decades, red has been marketed not just as romantic (Valentine's Day cards and gifts) but also sexy (red lipstick and nail polish). Whatever the reason, if you're looking for a way to get the guys to notice you, a red top might just be the ticket. But we all have our own go-to outfits when we're trying to be sexy; if yours isn't a slinky red dress, what is it?

HUM..i know two men who find women with red lipstick a big turn off! They both have said to me..women wearing bright red lipstick look such a mess!

I like red, don't LOVE it. I've worn red lipstick before but I depends on the kind if red. I have warm undertones.
8I dont wear red lipstick...I dont wear lipstick at all. Good ol' chapstick for me. But I do wear alot of red clothing. People always tell me that red is my best color because I have really light skin and eyes and dark hair.

i actually don't usually gravitate to red although i have a few dresses/pieces of clothing that are in that color. i think that it makes sense that red is a 'sexy' color - but of course it's subjective just like all other things.
14I LOVE red lipstick. I think it looks okay on me, depends on the color because my skin tone is olive. I wear it sometimes. Red nail polish is my favorite! I can see how red is an attractive color on women. What about guys? Do you think there is a certain color that make a man more attractive?
15That's an interesting survey. It brought up a really random memory of a day in high school when I wore a red dress and four guys sang Lady in Red behind me that day. Random and no need for me to post that, but it was odd that it came up haha.
16There isn't a single shade of red in my closet.. at all. I don't look good in that color. Except shoes. I do, however, have conquered and still rock the red lip after a loong search for the right shade.

18I don't usually wear lipstick, but when I want to pretty myself up I always ask my partner what he would like to see. He always picks either the red or the pink lipstick.
