The clothes thing is ridiculous. It is said they will be donated for charity as funds shouldn't have been used for them. What about the leak in the Obama campaign about the worry over polls? Can we please get some variety in stories. Please?
1And that "citizen's arrest" lady is a nut job.
2It's a bit much for clothes but she's not alone in the expensed outfit category I think Obama and McCain may have the "hook ups" when if comes to campaign duds. I actually don't think it's relevant to who people should vote for though. I do find it funny that spending all this money at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus is probably not a small town value or something that her "real Americans" would be doing during these economic times
Oh and the citizens arrest only in the Bay Area ahahaahha
3The Rove thing is WEIRD, funny though, but a little loony.
The 150,000 thing would piss me off if I donated, they talk about how they need more money and they need to compete with Obama, yet her and her kids are being dressed by top designers? Didn't they mock Edwards for his $400 hair cut - and people who spend 150,000 on clothes in a few weeks have no right to tell me they are just like me. I don't know any "hockey-moms, with joe-the plumber-six-pack husbands" who wear Valentino and have a make up artist that costs more than a house!
GS, what Obama polls worry, CNN just said he is up 7-9pts. (I'm actually asking, not suggesting u are wrong).
4That's just it zeze, the only people who seem to care are people who don't like her anyway. In fact it seems that not many of the people who aren't her supporters just don't like her, some of the people on here seem to loathe her. It is strange.
5They were talking about it on the radio on my way home from picking up my daughter. I will have to research it a bit more. It was hard hearing between the shouts of- I want to go to the playground!!
6wow that lady is crazy!
7GS i LOVE your avatar!
8I'm not a Palin supporter and I don't dislike her personally but some of the things she has been doing and saying/not saying. But I don't think the clothes thing is a big deal however I didn't donate to the RNC either ( those people have a legit gripe). This is one of those instances that I will give her a sexism pass. I'm sure McCain and Obama both have a campaign clothes price tag, but because they are men and visually what they look like is not as important as a women in this society she is unfairly getting a lot of the attention.
9"I do find it funny that spending all this money at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus is probably not a small town value or something that her "real Americans" would be doing during these economic times.
"
LMAO!
10Exactly with the female thing, but also because she is the conservative candidate. She and Cindy have both had fraudulent reports flung out and repeated ad nauseum my the drive by media only to be proven wrong, yet no correction is made. The media really is pathetic. I don't care who you support politically, you should be able to see this. And I don't mean you basty, I mean universal you.
11And thanks momma
12mommaof2, I LOVE YOUR AVI! I have two mini's myself, and they are the BEST little doggies in the world!
13GS, I get what u are saying, but I think people who don't like her, don't like her for these precise reasons. The fact that she claims to be "just like you" and "super-hockey-mom" annoys me when she turns around and buys a wardrobe that costs more than the homes of the "real Americans" she loves so much. These traits reflect on her other discrepancies, such as abuse of power, hiring her friends, using tax dollars for family travel when they are not invited...it all reflects badly on her, McCain, and the Republican party in general. And I think that people, those who like her and who don't have a right to call her out on her out on this sort fo stuff.
14The thing everyone has to remember is that these are Politicians. All of them have had to sell their sole to get to where they are. If anyone truly believes everything a politician says or promises, they will be disappointed. They are salesmen and women, plain and simple. They are selling themselves. That goes for D, R, I, G, L, 42
you name it.
15I heard someone say this morning that they should of sent to What Not to Wear. The show could oufitted her for $5,000.
16I think we all know that, no one thinks, or should think any of these people are saints, you don't get very far being the nice, honest guy/gal - but there are ranges of dishonesty, corruption, and hypocrisy - and those who exceed the normal "slimy politician" threshold should get a little more attention for it.
17I found the attempt at a citizen's arrest so funny this morning. The way Rove tried not to look at her and then knocking the cuffs away was unreal.
18since the RNC came up with that small donation look up thing they should come up with a way for people who do donate to choose what they want to donate too, I'm sure clothing would get the smallest amount of donation if it was an option.
19It's a small thing, but I think you mean sell their 'soul' to get where they are. And I don't really agree with that statement, but it's not worth debating-neither of us have any proof.
20citizen's arrest --
And it's against the rules to use the campaign contributions for personal gain.
21it really does seem like a lot of money for a few diffrent colored skirts and jackets. The shoes probably cost more! they were cute...im not going to lie.
22Yeah it is against campaign contributions for personal gain but I'm willing to bet that the RNC would file her clothes stipend under "campaigning". So as long as she is wearing those clothes while campaigning technically it wouldn't be for personal gain. And if she got the stuff at Nordstroms well she can take it back whenever ( love that customer services and return policy). Now I don't feel it's right that her kids get free duds but I'm sure they would also use the "campaigning" wording when it comes to them too.
23So I would go as far to say she should give them back after the campaign or donate them to charity that would be fair since she would no longer be campaigning!
24Okay, this is weird, Yahoo has two articles on the same page, one says AP poll shows race is a statistical tie, 44% O, 43% M, then right below that article saying Obama opens up a double digit lead according to WSJ/NBC - CNN this morning said Obama had 7pt lead, down from a 9pt lead from 2 days ago in their poll of polls.
WTH? how can there be such a huge difference, usually all the polls are within 3-4 pts, but from 1 to 10pts is huge, one of the polls must be an outlier, I'm guessing is the tie one only because all the other are a lot closer.
25honestly..its all about election day! Im not paying any more attention to those polls. I get excited and then a sudden.."oh he's not that far ahead"..then excited again. They are playing with my EMOTIONS! wow...i got a bit pissed of...
26Yeah, I can't imagine CNN/MSNBC skewing poll numbers in favor of Barack.
27No I can't imagine CNN doing that either, MSNBC yes ( and I know you where being sarcastic).
28CNN does an average of about 10 most popular polls, AP, Zogby, Rasmussen, the WSJ, Washington Post, etc...they can't really skew adding them together and dividing them by the number of polls, and since they are not picking and choosing obscure polls from discreditable or only left-leaning sources I would think they are the closest thing to a "good" poll.
I watch these things a lot, and I don't take them as cut and dry numbers, but they do indicate changes over time, when all of them go up together and go down together it shows something! I don't think I've seen a 9pt difference from one decent source in comparison to another.
29[Yeah it is against campaign contributions for personal gain but I'm willing to bet that the RNC would file her clothes stipend under "campaigning". They pretty much got caught -- so they are saying they are going to give the clothes away or donate them. Whatever.
30I wonder how much that bag cost -- she's in second grade right??
31Good grief steph.
32WHen you have children you will see how often they want to carry your bag. You people are doing more digging about her clothes and what kids are holding in pictures than it has every appeared that you have done for the candidate you've chosen. These kinds of things are upsetting to you but Ayers and Wright aren't?
33Dreamsugar please tell me that is photo shopped ahahah? And that is Not a real Louis Vuttion bag is it???But wait if it isn't real then she may be supporting terrorist....counterfitting fund terrorism you know?
Oh my!
34WOW Bastyle, you took the words right out of my mouth. I hope it's photoshopped!
35I don't care if it's her mom's bag, which it probably is...how much does that dang bag cost? Ridic.
36Sorry Dreamsugar - that isn't a real bag. In real LV bags the LV is never cut off at the seams, that one has half and LV right below the pocket zipper.
I'm guessing that one costs $50, not $5000.
37Zeze knows how to spot a fake
38GS, little girls and some little boys want to carry mommies bag a lot so you are right to point out that that is probably not Little Pipers bag, but again if I donated to the RNC I would be concerned that Palin spent some of my donated money on a Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag. As someone who didn't donate and who thinks that pointing out her attire somewhat sexist I couldn't care less this is really funny to me. And clothing is about the shell of a person and shouldn't hold much value but when you are potentially calling someone "terrorist" or " anti - American" that's really different that saying someone dresses too nice I mean God forbid we think she is a fashionista!
39No one cares about "some old washed up terrorist."
40Almost everyone I know has one. They aren't all ridiculously expensive. But, since we are all into just thinking the worst about her no questions asked, we won't even consider that it was a gift, belongs to one of the MANY people who travel with them, or any number of things. Nope, let's crucify her.
41Of course you don't steph, don't be silly.
42basty, who says it's new? I can't believe we are discussing a purse a little girl is carrying in a picture. This election is making everyone crazy.
43It's not photoshopped
A Louis BAG -- what does she need with a Louis bag!!
Before and after photos:

ZeZe yes a fake but then we do know that counterfeiting funds supports organized crime and in some cases terrorist, so am I to believe that the RNC has funded organized crime/terrorism!
And yes the seaming is wrong but also the side zip pocket is not a part of the Speedy bag, and the coloring of the handles is off! ( I have a fashion blog too ahahaha)
45Of course Mich, any self-respecting shopaholic should know her fakes, lol, lets remember, CS members tend to be Popsugar and Fabsugar fans as well! But I would like everyone to know that I have never used campaign donations or taxes to support my addiction.
46LV bags are kind of meh, and for the most part, most of the time, not all of the components are made where you think they are made. I like nice bags, but LV bags are too expensive for me (this coming from someone who likes Burberry). But yes, zeze's right, it's a fake.
47So please tell me that makes it a non issue. PLEASE!!!
48Wow. You girls got skillz.
Steph.
49So say it is old that means that either Palin bought it her self and she supports organized crime/terrorist via a purchase or it's a gift and she pals around with someone who supports organized crime/terrorist?
Note I am in one of those moods so I"m being really annoying today
sorry CG
