Actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has warmed up to Barack Obama. The mother of six told German Vanity Fair:
Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay. They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family.
Stopping short of a full endorsement, Angelina said the fact that Obama would be a good example for her family isn't "reason enough to vote for him."
The support for some of Obama positions strays from her previous hesitation to bring home the troops from Iraq. In February she wrote in an op-ed: "As for the question of whether the surge is working, I can only state what I witnessed: U.N. staff and those of non-governmental organizations seem to feel they have the right set of circumstances to attempt to scale up their programs. And when I asked the troops if they wanted to go home as soon as possible, they said that they miss home but feel invested in Iraq."
Angelina's dad John Voight is currently starring in American Carol and has been campaigning for John McCain.

1she probably wants to adopt him.
2I don't think she's endorsing him, really, I think she's just discussing him. It wouldn't surprise me if Obama is the man she chose to back, but I'm glad she has the good sense not to preach about it. I think she discussed it in a level-headed, rational manner.

I don't really care which way a celebrity leans.
What gets me riled up are the celebrities (and I use the term loosely) that wear clothing professing their love for Obama. Things like "Bad girls love Obama" or something along those lines.
That does WONDERS for his credibility.

21Voting for Obama is not a vote for families, since he voted to lift a ban on killing babies "mistankenly" born after a botched abortion. He's all about killing babies. It cracks me up to hear those liberals to fight for abortions in the very same breath as fighting for animal rights. They are so screwed up.

I didn't see people really hating her, until Brad split with Jen. The she went from humanitarian wild child to homewrecker in a lot of people's eyes.

IMO (and only my opinion) if Jen and Brad had been in a good stable relationship...it wouldn't have happend. Angie represents the threat to the minivan majority...you know that hot girl in the office..or that cool girl friend that will steal their husbands aways when they get dumpy? But really the husbands that DO stray..there is probably a larger issue in the relationship..other than just some hot chick

Quite frankly, there were reports that Jen and Brad were having problems way before Angie. Jen would have interviews where she would say she wanted to concentrate on work and he would go in interviews saying that he wanted to have babies.
31kastarte2 there was also a blind item on laineygossip a while back stating that Jen was taking male horomones to stay thin..and that caused miscarriages and that was one of the reason for the detriation of the Brad and Jen relationship..because obviously Brad want kiddies and stayig thin is a stupid reason to keep taking the shots.
32i went to my friend's beach house this summer and they had an Oprah magazine from like 2003 or something in the bathroom, and it had an interview with Jen while they were still married and it was so heartbreaking to hear her gushing!

34Angie says she's registered as a independent so she could have gone either way, but knowing her stance on many issues I had a feeling she would lean towards Obama.
35Here's a reason why I like Angelina. Brad wanted children, she had two. And he probably wanted a bio baby but he wasn't going to keep bothering her about it because he at least he had Mad and Z. She decides it won't make a difference if she gave birth, even though she said she wouldn't, and tadaa now they have 6 lovely children. Still don't see all the hateration.

38I don't think everybody who dislikes her is because they're threatened by her beauty or because of the Jennifer-Brad thing. I like her sometimes, sometimes I don't. I think some of her movies are terrible, like Wanted, while some are great, like A Mighty Heart. She takes herself too seriously and I think that sometimes she should be a little more private and classy, but on the other hand she is a generous person and brings attention to issues that matter, like the refugees. About who she's voting, I don't care.

41bluesarahlou - I know, I was in the thick of the drama happening on that Angelina post yesterday. I'm really sick of the negativity on those posts, people are allowed to have different opinions but there is no need to call people names and start fights.
I don't think Angelina is endorsing Obama, she just said that she agrees with a lot of his policies.

I don't LOVE Angelina, I don't know her so I can't say that. And I was never one of those people who said "Angie is the most gorgeous person in the whole wide world!!!!" That's annoying too.

Some people just get into certain actresses and sometimes they just don't like them from the start. I never liked Anne Hathaway. Something about the way she speaks just bugs me. Also I have always disliked seeing Katie Holmes in movies.

49I didn't actually start disliking her until recently. I was a huge proponent of hers until I started seeing what a hypocrite she was. Don't ask me to go into all of it, because I'm not going to get it started, but my disliking her really has NOTHING to do with Brad leaving Jen, However I do believe she had a hand in that and I seriously didn't RESPECT her for it, but the dislike I have for her came much much later.
