I was watching AC360 last night and this was one of the issues they covered. They said that these statistics are WHOLLY misleading and inaccurate.
1This picture is a little embarrassing.
2MOST people are criticizing McCain/Palin for stoking fear and anger, even people on the right.
3Ya, I'm not getting it either, it seems like Obama is up 35pts if you read the articles and separate polls (race, gender, education, states) yet he is only up 5-6 pts with +/- 3.5 pts error margin, to me this says McCain should be happy, everything is against him yet he is basically tied - it still seems to me the McCain will win.
4Stats are crap...people need to go out and vote..and not be lured into false security...
5Amen CYL.
6Maybe it has to do with things like this..
Smeal also said, "On issue after issue after issue, the Obama-Biden ticket stands with us, while McCain has a 26-year voting record in Congress against women's programs and women's rights" Therefore the following groups will support Obama Biden for 2008.
Business and Professional Women
7Feminist Majority Political Action Committee
National Association of Social Workers
National Congress of Black Women
National Organization of Women
I dont understand the whole crying thing like in that picture. He is just a man!
8That girl is crying? My goodness does she thing he's Michael Jackson??? ahaahah
9If I were Obama, I wouldn't be accepting the endorsement of NOW, the others okay, but NOW?
10I think the mccain/palin camp underestimated the women of this country.
11not this woman. or the women i know and love on here with me.
12Nor many MANY other women. On our local news last night they had taken a "sampling" of undecided women. Some registered Dems, Some registered Reps and some that were non-partisan. There were 50 women in this focus group. The discussion was about the reasons that they felt Sarah Palin would or would NOT make a good VP. Only TWO of those women said they would not be voting for her (Much to the reporters dismay I might add). The 2 that weren't said they wouldn't because they just couldn't cross party lines. They had been voting Dem their whole lives and weren't going to change now.
So 48 out of those 50 women migrated to McCain BECAUSE of Palin. And believe me, they didn't give reasons like "Because she's pretty" or "Because she's a soccer Mom" they listed her policy, her performance and her executive office experience as their reasons.
It was kind of Funny because I could tell these were not the responses the reporter wanted. My husband even said "Wow, he doesn't look happy"! And the reporter kept cutting the women off when they'd try to tell their reasons.
Anyway, when they were asked "Why, if so many of you support Sarah, is McCain losing in the polls" their response was "He's not, it just looks that way because not everything is being fully reported."
1395% of all polling statistics are 75% BS, anyway.
14Mykie why not NOW?
15Because the organization is very corrupt in my opinion.
16I have gotten to meet a couple of celebrities that I really admire, and I definitely teared up. I would imagine especially in a crowd with an atmosphere like that at a campaign rally, it would be easy to get emotional. That picture is embarrassing, but I get it. I'd probably cry if I met Obama, too. (But I'm a cryer generally.)
17I enjoy guessing how much gray he's going to have in his hair from day to day. I also enjoy guessing which plastic surgery procedures Biden is going to show up with next.
