Um...its cheap if you have all the gear already...if you have to buy the tent, the fuel to get to the camp site, booking the camp site (at least in BC you ahve to book and pay) the cooking utensils...and gear, it adds up quick!
1Camping is tons of fun. We didn't get to go this summer and unfortunately it's now in the 30s at night so no thanks.
2Bowling is hella expensive! It's best to bring lots of people, because usually you rent per lane or game and you can all split the costs... plus the game lasts longer with more people!
3@CYL, I agree I don't have any camping gear. It's going to get expensive if my man and I go camping.
4I just go camping with a sleeping bag.
5But my guy is a marine so he can start the fire and stuff.
other than food and firewood, we have all the camp stuff ready! it's so convenient and exciting to spend a weekend at a campsite! not to mention oober romantic
6ahha we make dinner and have movie night at least once a week! it's nothing new! but i have been trying to talk him into bowling!
7Since when was bowling and camping cheap?!
Camping equipment is so expensive and we'd probably need a new tent before we went again.
8I borrow my camping equipment from friends. I camp maybe once every few years, so its really not worth it for us to buy our own gear.
Also, a lot of camp grounds offer tent cabins (wood frame and platform covered in a rain resistant fabric) for only a few bucks more a night. Something to consider.
9If you're into bowling, but it's a bit pricey for you, see if you have a Brunswick Zone nearby. You can join their e-club for free, and you get lots of coupons good for free games. You can also buy an inexpensive pair of bowling shoes, mine were only like $20.
10Was never a fan of bowling. I really hate wearing shoes other people have worn. Weird phobia, maybe... but ick. I'll substitute that with going to the pool hall.
11I'm willing to give it a try, for one night, in a well populated place. "Cabin Fever" still gives me nightmares.
12Yeah, the camping with just you and a partner sounds effing scary.
Maybe with a large group of friends... and an RV? :3
And cjmara805 is right, bowling can get really expensive... :[
13At the Brunswick Zone closest to me, they have an arcade/laser tag juxtaposed to it, right in the same building.
We usually just go there. Laser tag is probably the best thing ever, and it's only $6.50 a person.
