Remember Teddy Ruxpin, the animatronic stuffed bear? When he talks, he has the blank affect of a psychotic killer right before the moment when he kills you. And in this commercial, he gets a friend: Grubby (the horse?), who seems to have inherited Teddy's winning personality. More evidence that the 80's were effed up.

That show was so odd!! Everytime I watched it the same episode was on with these big guys made of rocks and mud...very strange. The dolls were extra creepy...I till shudder everytime I spot one at a garage sale!!!!
i totally wanted a teddy ruxpin when i was little! but now that i look back, it is pretty creepy!! haha
There was a Teddy Ruxpin show?! I remember the dolls and that you put cassette tapes in them and that's how they talked. At 4, I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
Hehehe I was a teen when teddy Ruxpin came out lol
I so wanted one when I was a kid, but my parents thought they were creepy. I always wanted to put one of my Paula Abdul tapes in it and watch him lipsync.
I wanted one when I was little too! Haha. I think that "Grubby" is supposed to be a caterpiller or some other kind of bug.
I had a teddy and a grubby, my parents hated them though my mom said it creeped her out, i didn't know what she was talking about till i watched that commercial
We had roller skating Teddy Ruxpin (actually I always thought it was Ruxbin? Have I been confused all these years?) Now he was cool! Yeah, Grubby was a caterpillar.
Haha, so he's a caterpillar. That's one big caterpillar! My second guess would have been giraffe!
I wanted one but I was a couple of years too old for such a toy when it came out. In retrospect, you guys are right -- it looks like its eyes would turn red in the night right before it shot beams of fire at an unsuspecting child in bed.
Do these toys look possessed to anyone? CREEPY!
