There is no way of escaping a bad day or being overwhelmed with frustration, it's really all about how you handle it. Does venting to a friend or co-worker make you feel better or are you the type that needs to step outside for a breath of fresh air to clear your head? Do tell ladies, how do you blow off steam?

I vent to my friends. I always feel better.
I either rant and rave when I have the house to myself or I take a dance class. Either works quite well.
I go work out. I feel much calmer after that.
I cry in the bathroom for 5 minutes if it's a really bad day. Sometimes you just have to give in and let yourself be upset.
Working out helps! Or just talking to a friend.
I go in my room shut the door, sit down and take a sort of time out for about 5 minutes or I'll vent to my hubby, mom, or my best friend. One of them always works.....
I go for a run. Sometimes I vent but it usually ends up increasing my frustration/anger, not releasing it.
Marci, I'm with you! Gotta do a little ranting first! (usually on the phone to my very patient sister!!) Then I try to get outside and go for a walk or watch a silly movie to take my mind off things.
I actually am very bad at it.. I bottle all of my emotions inside me and jsut let them build up without trying to deal with them.
TINA!
I call my sister while I am in the car and when i get home i listen to music or go for a run, makes me feel so much better.
Either I vent to good friends I trust, or I watch old episodes of Boy Meets World that I keep on my TiVo especially for those tough days. They always calm me down/ pick me up.
I kinda shut everyone out in my room for a half an hour and put my headphones on and listen to some good ol' hard rock. If I'm still worked up, I'll talk to my mom. Or rant in a journal than rip out the page a day later - probably because I regret the things I said, but it wasn't so bad because no one heard and I can just erase it (throw it away). Works for me.. so far. Im thinking of taking up working out.
i write or read a book or just be quiet for a while.
Cute gentle rain! I still watch reruns of Boy Meets World too! Such a sweet innocent show.
I talk to my boyfriend or I look at things that make me laugh to get my mood back to normal.
I take my dog out for a run. I try not to vent to friends too much as part of the whole "Complaint-free World" campaign thingie. But a little exercise, a good scream, and a hot bubble bath seem to do the trick for me!
"Party like a rock star, pound like a porn star, play like an all star!"
Vent or take a bath.
i post here
Call my best friend or go for a run - always helps!
what i sometimes do is go for a brisk angry walk with korn or rammstein on full blast in my earphones. i know it sounds a bit emo and drama queenish but it does work.
a calmer alternative is the pool- just swim in there for half an hour and the water just washes things away.
I scream into a cup!Lol just kidding I vent to my family or friends thought Id be funny teehee!
I have to step outside and cool off for a while! Then I tell my sister what happened and we talk sh?? together!!
i think playing any kind of raquet sport, like squash or raquetball, etc., is a really good way to let out your frustration ... that is, unless you're like me and you miss the ball more than you hit it. NEVERTHELESS, it's immensely satisfying when you finally DO get it! hehehehee
