Stephen Colbert recently took Sesame Street's awesome Cookie Monster to task for abandoning his whole-hearted pro-cookie agenda. He now eats fruit — and cookies are just a sometime snack. WTF?! Cookie (is that his first name?) tries to explain that he was once the Robert Downey Jr. of cookies, and this is a good change. I'm not sure Stephen bought it.

Oh. My. God. That just made my whole week from last Sunday to today!!!!!!
1By the way, this is the first time I agree with Stephen Colbert's 'point-of-view' on the show!
2too cute! I agree though that it is ridiculous that cookie monster had to go healthy - all this crazy over the top PC-ness is insane!
3I know...if Cookie Monster can be himself and just eat cookies, I think the kids watching at home are smart enough to realize that you need a balanced diet and can't eat cookies all the time. But I like that Cookie says that he had a crazy time in the '70s and '80s!
4As a kid it never occurred to me that the cookie monster's diet actually made sense for humans. I knew that cookies were only for sometimes.
5Cookies are a NOW food!!#@
6Yeah, the PC thing is crazy. Give me old school Cookie Monster and while you're at it, give me Super Grover too. Anyway, I love the Robert Downey Jr thing.
7I heart Stephen Colbert. And the Cookie Monster. I hate how America is so PC nowadays, I watched Sesame Street when I was little and I knew that I wasn't supposed to eat cookies all the time. My mom was very strict and we were only allowed one "treat" a day, usually after dinner.
8I love Cookie Monster!
9Who doesn't heart Stephen Colbert?
10This was one of my favorite episodes of all time. ^-^
Very nice site!
