OK, not everything, but I've taken the liberty of personally vetting the entire internet this morning and since the whole thing is full of BidenPalin-palooza, here are the tastiest morsels:
- Joe Biden hypes his blue-collar-lunch-bucket cred, but does his actual life ride the same train? The Times delves into just how "everyman" he actually is, from his 6,800 square foot home to how much that train ticket actually costs per month.
- You've heard the one about that "Bridge to Nowhere," right? Rolling Stone has a slideshow comparing Palin myth to Palin fact, including the story behind that eBay-ed plane plus 10 more.
- I think I guffawed at this one: Politico has "10 Answers for Sarah Palin" to use tonight, including this one, “Sure, I said, ‘Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States,’ but at least I didn’t plagiarize it.” Kapow. Point Palin?

There's much more! To see the rest, read more.
- Oh yeah. Everyone will be talking about this: here's the video of the Supreme Court question.
- How is Joe Biden managing the gender issue? Apparently, it's a non-issue, with this quote, "Voters aren't tuning in for a vice presidential food fight." If they both had a pie at their podiums though. . . just an idea.
- How are Alaskans feeling about Palin? Well. . . let's just say the word "cringe" was involved. Liberally.
- And finally, some real advice for the candidates tonight from experts weighing in the Politico Arena, including one suggestion that Palin, "remember that she is under no obligation to answer whatever Ifill asks."
If these stories are any indication of what to expect, let the countdown begin! Meet me in St. Louis!

Tonight's debate is going to be interesting, that's all I'm going to say.
1Sounds like some interesting stories out there too...thanks for the highlights.
2I hope it doesn't become demeaning. I know people like Palin for her sass, but we have some serious issues to discuss. Very serious. If it becomes Marcy Darcy vs. Al Bundy, I am going to tune out!
3The Times covers Biden, but the best we can do is get the Rolling Stone for Palin? Since when did Rolling Stone become a serious journal of news?
4Unfortunately, I think you have to be taken semi-seriously to be in a serious journal of news, UnDave.
5"Marcy Darcy vs. Al Bundy, I am going to tune out!"
I bet this is the most watched VP debate ever. Love her or hater her, people are going to tune in to see Palin. Otherwise how would they be able to follow the next SNL opener?
6"Marcy Darcy vs. Al Bundy" Haha, nice! Bring on the gaffe-fest!
7I'm ridiculously excited for this debate, but I think I'm looking forward to the SNL version even more!
8I can't wait until tonight. It should be...interesting.
9Dave, Palin's also in an article up thar from the AP.
10I'm worried about how Biden's going to come off. I'm afraid the words "condescending" and "glib" are going to be thrown about when he goes against Palin--not because he is either of those things, IMO, but because of how people are expecting her to get special treatment because she's not as well-versed in particular areas of knowledge.
11If Biden sticks to topics he knows, like FDR, the stock market crash of '29 and television history, it should go fine.
12Oh, he will, I just hope Palin doesn't pull a "Well, I'll find some and get back to ya!". Not enough time in a debate for that sort of stuff
13There's actually TWO bridges to no where in Alaska -- it was on CNN
14em1282 - I'm worried that Palin will pull off something much like what Will Ferrell did in Old School when he had to debate Carville. Something that will make the country realize that the mccain camp played everyone.
15I actually think the bar is so low that all she'll have to do is tell some funny jokes and she'll be an "INSTANT" success. Much like her acceptance speech.
16i already know everything i need to know about palin. she is so stupid that she bores me.
17I hope she wears something nice.
18I caught an excerpt from her Couric interview and it was so frustruating to watch..she couldnt answer questions with a direct answer..u could tell Katie was like ok..just give me one..one specific thing! ahhhhh!
19I hope they ask her which supreme court decision she disagrees with.
20I didn't find her RNC speech funny at all, I found it condescending and insulting in a lot of ways. I'm supposed to be on a plane during the debate but I'm going to try to get standby on an earlier flight so I can watch it!
21I'm not feeling any need to watch tonight - it's an insult to Biden that he has to debate that insult to Joe Six-pack.
Dave, Rolling Stone's been known for its political writing since its inception - PJ O'Rourke, a noted conservative novelist got famous there, as did Hunter S. Thompson and Joe Klein, who wrote Primary Colors.
22Ugh...I hope Biden does some Palin smack down... but I am also worried about him looking condescending/sexist..but come on against Palin...a 5 year old would look condescending!
However I think Palin will be well versed and her camp should have preped and preped her for this debate so she will probably come home MORE coherent than in her Couric interviews.
23If he looks or breathes in Palin's direction it's sexist -- I personally don't see how he can win. It's like dammed if you do dammed if you don't. If they stick to the issues she's goner.
24If you compare what the Times says about Biden's family income to what the St. Louis Business Journal says about Palin's, you find they're just about equal.
25Too bad. In West Wing land, they decided Bartlet would come off as arrogant no matter what, so they just let him.
RITCHIE:
Now, he's going to throw a big word at you--"unfunded mandate." If Washington lets the states do it, it's an unfunded mandate. But what he doesn't like is the federal government losing power. But I call it the ingenuity of the American people.
MODERATOR
President Bartlet, you have 60 seconds for a question and an answer.
BARTLET
Well, first of all, let's clear up a couple of things. "Unfunded mandate" is two words, not one "big word."
The whole episode is so great.
26I find it truly sad that when asked what other Supreme Court decisions she disagreed with, she couldn't come up with one. Not because this is another misstep but because she openly and publicly disagreed with one FOUR MONTHS AGO (the recent Supreme Court decision regarding punitive damages in the Exxon Valdez disaster) . She even filed an amicus against it! She forgot that?

I'm hoping that they stay on point tonight--not because it's her weak spot, but because that's what the viewers deserve. If she wants to be a formidable candidate she needs to start acting like one.
27That would be worth the price of admission, Woop. Love the avatar, BTW.
28Thanks em!
29
In this place all you can do is laugh.
30If anyone misses it tonight, I'm sure Jon Stewart will have some highlights on his show tomorrow.
I think it will be entertaining. Biden will probably be even more confident and statesmanlike than Obama. Palin will more befuddled and snarky than McCain.
31I've been reading and seeing so much of Palin lately and I think I've formed my opinion on her, but I'd really like to see how Biden represents himself tonight. Palin's gotten so much bad press... the news on Biden has been almost silent. I can't wait to see them together tonight.
I hope the format is similar to the presidential debate last Friday where the goal was to get the candidates to discuss things with EACH OTHER.
32Letsgetluod your avi is very mature!
33Roby Tose - the format for the vp debate will be different than the presidential one.
"At the insistence of the McCain campaign, the Oct. 2 debate between the Republican nominee for vice president, Gov. Sarah Palin, and her Democratic rival, Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., will have shorter question-and-answer segments than those for the presidential nominees, the advisers said. There will also be much less opportunity for free-wheeling, direct exchanges between the running mates."

34I am SO excited for the debate I can't stand it. I'm a little nervous for Biden though. He needs to read this. http://www.slate.com/id/2199363/
35I think they should have a First Lady/Dude debate. We all know who would win that one. Forget Presidential and VP debate, let's just have the Cindy and Michelle or Jill and Todd duke it out. Who you are married is a great representation of who you are.
36All I can say is do NOT lower your expectations for Palin. She doesn't deserve it.
37And she doesn't need it. I think she'll do a whole lat better than people are expecting.
38I find the idea that someone in the White House should be an Everyman to be irritating.
39UD, you're right. As long as she manages to string a few coherent sentences together and not appear to be an ignorant buffoon, she'll do better than many people are expecting
40I just read what Fred Thompson had to say about Palin not being able to name a Sumpreme Court case besides Roe v. Wade that She disagreed with. It was pretty pathetic. He said she wasn't a lawyer and she should have time to go over a list. the bar has been set so low for Palin, all she has to do is not trip over her feet getting on the stage and she'll be a success.
41Oh please.. with her recent interview fiasco's, her 14 point drop in approval rating, attacks coming from female conservatives as well as democrats.. the republican news channels screaming to high heaven about the moderator's publicized book that was announced last June(I know McCain doesn't use a computer..but seriously can anyone in his campaign google a name?
).. it all combines so that all Palin has to do is not fall down, pass out, or forget McCain's name
and they will scream SUCCESS!!
Biden already commended her for being a good debater(since they have been studying her style)..as seen in previous televised events for Alaska.. she is a master at the non answer and somehow belittling people who have an informed and correct answer. She is personable supposedly.
So I expect her numbers to be better tomorrow and that the McCain/Palin ticket will get a boost from tonight... there is absolutely no excuse if she F's it up.. not with all of the outdoor babbling brook side ala Hidden Valley Ranch debate rehearsals and how to be a vice president/president of senate clift's notes she has been given the past few weeks.
She has no choice but to do well..so she will.
42And Palin drawing a blank on a supreme court case she disagreed with other than RoevWade makes no damn sense at all considering she strongly disagreed publically with the Supreme Court one year ago regarding their decision about Exxon cutting punitive damages due to the oil spill. Exxon Shipping Co. v. Baker (07-219)
43I meant to say their decision to grant a review one year ago.. the decision was just passed down this June and I am sure she is aware of the verdict since she disagreed a year ago when the review was granted and since it negatively effects Alaskan fisherman.
44I wonder if she'll answer every question with an answer. I just love it when she does that.
45lol -- I mean with a *question...
Although the answers are usually just as funny.
46LOL dreamsugar.. Palin is a win win when it comes to amusement..
I just hope I can protect the TV from the husband.. his response to Palin is my response to Bush's state of the union..sudden outburst of cussing and the occasional large item being thrown at the TV. We may have to watch baseball instead for the children and safety sake and then I will just catch the sound bytes tomorrow. (which is funny considering he use to be a republican..I have seduced him to embracing the dark side of the force
).
God help the TV if McCain/Palin win! We may have to put a parental control lock on all news channels and agree to unplug it altogether for inauguration's and state of the union address'!
47Imabeliever, I totally agree with #42.
".. she is a master at the non answer and somehow belittling people who have an informed and correct answer. She is personable supposedly."
48I haven't had time to browse all the "elite media" yet today. Has the McCain campaign started running their ads about how Palin won the debate yet?
49Just like a train wreck, I'll have to tune in to see Sarah circle the tower 55 times and fail to bring it in for a landing every single one of those times.
Give me the bottom line or shut up. Just like corporate speak, I have no patience for politicians that cannot answer a question directly. It's all just a big show. There's nothing real about these people.
