I’m an observer by nature, but that's not to say I suddenly become shy in a group setting. In fact, I'm happy to be the leader of the pack now and then. Even so, the idea of having all eyes on me does send a shiver down my spine and get my heart racing. But some people are at their best when they can stand out in a crowd. Does that sound like you?

if you asked me 5 years ago i would have said YES YES YES - but these days i don't mind it but i'm not going to search it out. i think that i would prefer to direct the attention on myself rather than just stand out.
1Nope. Im the one who is usually standing off to the side watching and listening to everyone. I have always been more than happy to let my friends take the spotlight. Now that I think about it...almost all of my best friends (past and present) have been "attention seekers" (for lack of better terms), I think maybe thats why we worked so well.
2I'm just the opposite of you ilanac
Some years ago, I would have hated to stand out
in a crowd. But the matter of fact is that I DO stand out, and I had to learn how to work that. Physically standing out is gets magnified in a positive or negative sense depending on how much
confidence you have. Once you learn that trick, it's a natural gift that most others would like to have. So now I'm really happy about it.
3I end up standing out. I try to be quiet and reserved but someone or something will get me started...and away I go. I was trained in theater and was a cheerleader so I guess it just comes out. Otherwise, I hate attention. Paul Newman and Katherine Hepburn are my idols because they were excellent at their craft but left the dramatics there. Either way, I see a sad face and turn into Patch Addams...
4I try not to stand out too much, but I get really self-conscious if all eyes are on me.
5Hell, No!
6this may sound silly and possibly narcissistic but I tend to thrive off of the lime light.
7No.....I don't like being in the spotlight at all. I'm more than happy to let someone else have it instead.
8No, I don't like standing out. I don't like the spotlight.
However, I think I do. Because I dance (not perform), I have a posture, and I move in a way, that draws attention. I can't help it.
9No way. I like being the center of attention in my close group of friends but hardly ever in a group of strangers. I'm so shy and paranoid that someone is going to say something negative that will stick with me for years.
10i do stand out of the crowd mostly, but i dont try to. it just happens
