Perhaps in this day and age when letters have become antiquated, and when a flux of anonymous emails, no matter how sweet, tend to seem creepy, the idea of an honest-to-goodness secret admirer no longer exists. But I’d like to think that it does — remember in Love Actually when Keira Knightley’s character gets the knock at the door from her husband’s best friend with the cards confessing his love? That’s romance! So what do you think; is this notion out of date, or have you ever had a secret admirer?

Yeah I had a few in High School.
They were really sweet.
1I had one @ work a couple years ago and it was SO creepy! I had no clue who he was and then one day (after I left from the creepiness) he told me...ewwww...
2nothing secret!
3Yes, I had some. It was awkward for me, as I didn't feel the same way.
4yeah right...
is what i looked like in middle school...nobody was gettin near that thing with a
ten foot pole..
5i had one in high school that was REALLY CREEPY - it was a kid that i didn't even know and he was stalker ish and told my friends that he liked me and then he asked me to prom. it would have been sweet if he didn't do such weird things to get my attention.
6I had one in high school that probably should have been creepy, but I found adorable - this guy would call me (our school published everyone's phone numbers, so he didn't have to do any stalking to get my number) and we would basically just have fantastic conversations, except he wouldn't tell me his name. I always called him "my favorite secret admirer."
7yep. Had some...from

And I've been one.
I've been stalked relentlessly since elementary school.
I'm my own witness protection program.
Unfortunately the one I admired doesn't admire me...isn't that always the way! d*it.
me.
8I get the ones with the girlfriend anyway!?...
the cheater's warden!
Shopa... I'm going back to smiley rehab. promise.
9In middle school, there used to be this thing on Valentine's Day where a you could buy a secret valentine and have it sent anonymously to your "crush" during class. Shockingly, I got one! I tried to play it off like it wasn't a huge deal, but inside I was sooooo excited. I spent all day talking about it with my friends, as we came up with a list of possible boys it could be. We finally narrowed it down to one boy, and right as I was about to shyly go talk to him about it, my "friends" BUSTED up laughing and told me they sent it to me as a joke.
So no, no secret admirers for me! I think I'm still scarred lol.
10I had one in the 5th grade. It was very cute and sweet.
11yeah but he werent that secret coz figured out who sent me that mystery valentines card lol
12Yes! One of my friends from grad school (lives in the UK) sent me some very sweet and funny e-mails on Valentine's Day 3 years ago. We had a long correspondence and it was really great (I figured out who he was within 3-4 e-mails). The *really* great thing is that we became really good friends, then saw each other again after 4 years and fell for each other! I'm going to see him next week....
13ahh
14im jealous
i want one
but a cute one not a creepy one lol
Just coming out of one, I fear he is a narcissist, he did some rather creepy things, I was on here about the racing uses etc, I had to report him for sexual harassment, he is a lecturer and I am a student, he decides to do the following three things:
1/ Blare his music as he passes me
2/ Wait for me in a car park whilst waiting for me to come off a us, (he has actually sat across the road from the road from where the us was)
3/ Decided to rev his engine as he was beside me
Immature knobhead! excuse the language, what would you have, feeling the lecturer bloke's erect manhood (Bleurgh) coupled with him another time pressing up against you saying "I want to make love to you!" or a nice decent man who respect you!
I really don't like this tosser much, he scared me half to death and then I wonder why I have heavy fatigue!!
15how about this... creating a relationship with a woman (he thinks) looks like me... but actually looks like my ex-husband's new wife...and using their relationship to make me jealous... what? who does that? oh baby...kiss me next!!
psychodrama
16I had a couple in school? It was weird. This one guy used to serenade me in class once he was "outed"... bizarre. :/
17Yes, and it was creepy.
18Me too Jessie!!
19fyi dear the cards from love actually... youre right thats the best "example" of romance. ahh cant believe i didnt think of it before. love it
