OMG. This little guy is really going to town on that carrot! He's like a cartoon. The quills on his tiny forehead are moving around, and it looks like he's smiling. Good lord he's cute. But one question: where the heck do people get hedgehog pets?!

You used to be able to buy hedgehogs here in the States until the late 90's, I think - at least that's when they stopped selling them in the pet stores around my area ... but there's no restrictions that I know of over-seas.

4You can get a hedgehog here. We've had one for about 2 years. You just have to really look for one and they only sell them at certain pet stores.

6Some towns and counties have rules against them, as they're considered exotic pets. You can get one from a breeder, just like dogs. If you're interested, look into some hedgehog owners groups and find breeders through them, that's what my family did years ago.

8They are really delicate and their vet bills can be costly. They need routine care becuase theyll get sick and die.
