In the movies, romance is dozens of red roses, diamonds, sunsets, and surprise proposals. Sure, those things can be romantic in real life too, but we all know that romance is not so easily categorized, and it's often not even planned. Personally I think of romance as a feeling or a moment that leaves me breathless, rather than a specific action or item. But this is one thing that's different for everyone, so do tell, what's your idea of romance?

when he leaves little
notes on post-its for me to read throughout our place, when he would wake up early with me on Saturdays to drive me to class so I can get some sleep in the car, when he goes shopping with me
(even though he HATES it) etc. etc!

Affection.
Chivalry.
Tenderness.
Implications that he loves you.
Words conveying that he loves you.
Gestures that show he loves you.
Getting the feeling that you are the most beautiful woman in the world.
Getting the feeling that you're his prized possession.
Getting the feeling that his heart belongs to you.
Getting the feeling that you two are a team and nothing can come between you.
(I wanted to add; I'm not much of a gifts person...I prefer gestures, words, actions, looks, hugs etc.!)
