On Columbus Day weekend, October 11-13, Jewish grandchildren will schlep to Florida to educate their grandparents about Obama, hoping to swing the state into the blue column. In the video below, Sarah Silverman does her part to help wrap up the Jewish grandparent demographic for Obama. The effort is called "The Great Schlep" and supporters without grandparents in Florida, or those who are not Jewish, are being asked to talk to their relatives about Obama, too.

Talking points to be discussed with said grandparents include:
- Barack's Biography Obama's life story of achievement through education and hard work is one Jews can relate to.
- Foreign Affairs Obama has expressed a willingness to talk to any nation without preconditions but with appropriate preparations. This is the kind of smart, but strong, diplomacy that led Israel to a peace treaty with its strongest enemy, Egypt.
- Barack Hearts Israel and so do you! We don't need a volatile and unpredictable president like McCain in charge of America's relationship with Israel. We need a steady hand like Obama who will continue decades of US commitment to a strong and secure Israel.
- Patriotism His love for the United States is similar to that of generations of Jewish immigrants, who love America for giving them an opportunity to succeed when they worked hard enough.
- He's Black, Let's talk about it! Obama represents a different kind of black leadership, less interested in the confrontational tactics favored by many who came of age in the 1960s and 1970s.
What do you think about Sarah's plea? Would you schlep for Obama?

Hilarious, and she has a point.
1I cant stand her.
2hahahhahahahha....
3What a great way to start my Friday! Favorite line - "I would much rather have a president whose name means lighting, than a president named John whose name means toilet or a guy who f***s hookers."
4I love Sarah Silverman!
Her "Im F****ing Matt Damon" skit was one of the funniest I've ever seen.
5I'm not a huge fan of hers, but this made me laugh. I'd schlep.
6I normally don't think she's funny but she actually made me laugh a couple times in this one.
7She's funny to me. I like the idea of threatening the grandparents. "Let's hope you live till next year."
I thought it was hilarious.
8"yes, it is a super F*ing Sh*tty name. You'd think someone named Manichevitz Gooberman might understand that".
9"You don't have to use facts, use threats!"
10haha love it!
11AWESOME!!
12whatever gets 'em to the polls, I'd say!!
13I love this. It made me laugh and wish I had grandparents that lived in Florida. My grandma lives in a swing state, but she's a pretty devout Republican.
14I live in Florida and all the relatives I know are pro-Obama. But I still think McCain will get Florida, but I'm praying otherwise.
15This is hilarious!!
16I have grandparents in Miami Beach! They've already confirmed to me they're "Jews for Obama"
17Hilarious!
18I live in florida also and all my relatives are for McCain except for my hippie sister in clearwater.
19Hysterical. My 96 year old grandma lives in NY, but I don't have much convincing to do. She thinks McCain is a "lying son of a b*tch." (Direct quote)
20While I strongly dislike Sarah Silverman - It was cute and actually made me smile...
21CatapillarGirl I am with you she annoys the hell out of me and just isn't funny. Her supporting Obama almost made me not like him..... ewwww
