When girls get together, it's a time for them to talk about everything from their careers to their love lives, and all the fun stuff in between. And even if you have a few different groups of friends, there are usually reoccurring topics that get touched upon each and every time. When I'm with my friends, we catch up first but the conversation always finds its way back to men, dating, and relationships. Does this sound familiar? Do tell, what's the most common topic of conversation between you and your girlfriends?

Sex! Or old memories! I love my best friends because we were really close in middle school and then in high school we really drifted apart. Now that we've graduated we're best friends again and it's like nothing has changed really.
1We talk about classes we're taking, advisors (I'm in grad school), jobs, traveling, and yes, men and relationships! Also, other friends.... sometimes.
2guys, clothes, jewelry, jobs or the lack thereof
3Definitely men and relationships. Gossip, too.
4Our boyfriends, our sex lives
, college, classes, money, fashion, family, old
memories etc.
5Jobs, shoes/clothes, travel, relationships, our childhoods, books, science/philosophy/technology, politics.
6Our current preoccupations (business projects, grad school, work, etc.). We update each other about our families, hubbies, etc. Or simply, we just enjoy each other's company. Or we talk about whatever is at hand -- the yummy food we ordered, the nice weather, etc.
7Boy drama... Which does get a little old, especially since I am engaged and don't have any boy drama to compete with that of my single-on-line-dater girls. I mostly talk them off ledges and keep them from doing anything too crazy...
8WE TALK ABOUT SEX, OUR LOVE LIFE, MEMORIES, OLD FRIENDS, NEW FRIENDS. FAMILY. EVERYTHING!
9Most of our conversations are either gossip-y or work-related! My best friend and I both work in the same field, so the conversation inevitably turns nerdy after awhile.
10This is going to maybe sound kinda lame, but we mostly talk about what we've been watching on TV, movies we've seen and what sites we've been finding on the internet. Beats gossiping about other people behind their backs.
Ah, we're such geeks. About 50% of what we say is some kind of geeky reference. But of course that's not ALL we talk about, there's also the general stuff about everything else that's been going on in our lives, too. Work, school, families, etc.
11We usually talk about...life in general. Classes, our friends, the boys (although I usually don't have anything to share so I listen to other people's problems), or random topics that come to mind while we're hanging out like politics, clothes, our plans for the weekend, etc.
12We talk about everything equally.
13autism. it's a joke w/ our families. if one of us calls the other and they aren't there we say "wanna talk about autism" and everyone laughs. it's an obsession because of our kids on the autism spectrum.
14We talk about everything! Old times, boy drama, our futures, our sex lives, our jobs, our random thoughts, food, tv/movies. I love them.
15any constant that's in our lives. a lot of the times we talk about what's bothering us, and there's always something. i hope my pessimism isn't rubbing off on them. lol.
i've read so many books where men say they have friends where they rarely speak about things that are important to them. i don't think it's true for many men, but for the percentage who feel that way .. i can't even imagine. i guess that's why it's fiction. lol.
everything i talk about with my friends is important to me and vice versa.
16Work, mutual friends, politics, current events. We almost never talk about relationships. I guess because we're all in happy long-term relationships, there's not really much to talk about!
17it's definitely interesting how you can just meet someone and you'll end up talking about relationships and things like that. it seems to be the easiest thing to talk about and to relate to since i'm sure that everyone has a shared experience. i don't usually hang out with too many people since i don't have a ton of friends where i live but when i do chat - its' about either TV shows or men.
18We mostly talk about ourselves!! We always get back to talking about our old times. So much fun.
