In case your bedtime is earlier than SNL or you were out doing something more fun last night, here's the Tina Fey as Sarah Palin sketch. She certainly looks the part and it was fun to see her back on the show. . . but was her appearance worth the hype?
What do you think of the accent? I did get a kick of the way she delivered the line about the Bush Doctrine, but all in all, how did she do? Is she the Will Ferrell as George Bush of Sarah Palin? Is Piper going to think that's her mommy?

She was so good! Tina Fey was so dead on. I loved it. Sooooo many great lines. Loved it.

Those lines stood out to me. But the "riding in on a dog sled line," was really good.

14I liked the sketch.
It was funny, but once Fey was in the hair and outfit, it proved to me that she really doesn't look that much like Palin. Her face is so much narrower. The impression was funny, but it wasn't dead on. Which is fine, I'd rather it be funny than accurate. I think maybe her voice needs to be just a notch higher or something?
Also, I adore Amy Poehler, but her Clinton impersonation is abysmal. The weird, smarmy voice is so off.

18That was freaking hilarious, my expectations were actually really low because of all the hype, but Tina totally nailed it, and while amy doesnt resemble hilary, she was a riot.

25I laughed so hard I nearly cried. Tina Fey's impression was dead on and the accent was completely perfect.
I've never liked the HRC impression as much. It's good, but not a dead ringer like Fey's Palin.

Amy's Hilari was halfway but the writing was fantastic! I don't watch SNL normally but I think this election will inspire me to watch or at least DVR

36Fey as palin was great. Amy just seems like they dress her as hillary and then she takes off. Not much of an impression.
37that was pretty damn funny... i have to say, it made me feel really bad for hillary. and the line about not wanting to be the first female president, but wanting to be president and just happening to be a woman... so true. there was a lot of truth in it.

48You're right dream. I quit watching SNL when they stopped being funny. The only SNL skit I've seen in 15 years was when Peyton Manning was on shortly after winning the superbowl.

I am very disturbed as to why McCain would allow a statement about a possible war with Russia to be made by his running mate? If you did not hear Palin's interview, she stated that she favors allowing Georgia into NATO and then went on to say that a war with Russia is a "perhaps" reality. This is truly scary. When I saw this portion of the interview I literally broke out in a cold sweat.
Especially considering the following info from Wikipedia.
"Russia possesses the largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction in the world. Russia declared an arsenal of 40,000 tons of chemical weapons in 1997 and is said to have had around 6681 nuclear weapons stockpiled in 2005, making its stockpile the largest in the world. The Soviet Union ratified the Geneva Protocol on January 22, 1975 with reservations. The reservations were later dropped on January 18, 2001."
Putin(Russian Pres.) has already stated that he believes U.S. citizens were on the ground with Georgian troops when in South Ossetia. He also said he believes the attacks were made to help a certain candidate in the U.S. Presidential campaign win?
I don't hear Obama/Biden threatening RUSSIA! I have never thought that a nuclear attack would happen in the U.S. but I am not sure anymore.
Please vote Obama/Biden for President we need a more Diplomatic administration.
