I've always felt that you are either spontaneous or you're not. I'm not! I'm a planner through and through so while jumping in the car or getting on an airplane at a moment's notice sounds exhilarating, that kind of spontaneity would just be way too overwhelming for me. But what about you? Are you the spontaneous type?

my bf is the spontaneous one..I am the planner...
1i don't know... i could go either way
2Same here CYL! I plan like crazy and I'm very organized. My bf is like let's go here today and then I start stressing out about all the details.
I need to chill out.
3It depends on the situation, and my mood!
4I am not spontaneous at all. I am a capricorn and true to our nature, I get very anxious if things arent planned out to the very last detail. I also get very anxious if things start to trail away from the plan.
5As contradictory as it sounds, I'm both. In certain situations, it really bothers me, but in others, I think it's better.
6I am super spontaneous...my bf, however, is not! So I can't do ANYTHING spontaneous because he hates it!
7yep....it gets me in trouble sometimes..:oops...but hey..ya only live once you know?!
8No, not really. I'm a planner. I'm trying to have some spontaneity to balance myself out. HOWEVER, the way I approach that is to PLAN to be spontaneous. For example, I would plan something like,"Between 2p and 4p today, I plan to do something spontaneous. Something unexpected." WTF?? SCHEDULING spontaneity?? LOL I'm an incurable planner! Hopeless case.
9i am a planner when it comes to advanced notice events but i also would never shy away from a spontaneous event or road trip or whatever
my only issue is that i'm also hyper-responsible so i would think twice about missing work to engage in a spontaneous act and would consider money when jumping on a plane. but on a weekend i would do pretty much whatever
10Agreed HeidiMD! I am definitely both. There is a middle ground. It's about the situation you're in. I'm definitely a road trip queen. I used to wake up Friday morning and quick pack a weekend bag and drive straight to Philly after work to see friends. In college, forget it. I was the road trip queen. SanDee, Essence (mine and the roomie's cars lol), and a few others have been all over the place.
11Glowing Moon, hahahahhaha, I sorta do that too!!! I try to be spontaneous too, but I always end up planning everything out anyway. I get super stressed if I'm not at least mostly in control of or aware of whats going on. And I never do something spontaneous that would hurt say my grades or something, so I don't randomly skip class or work.
12If I actually do finally decide to do something spontaneous then it isn't even worth the trouble because I get so stressed out about it!! lol!
No, I guess not. I love planning. Haha. Being spontaneous stresses me out so much more! I do get a bit unpredictable sometimes.
13I wish I was more spontaneous.
14my bf is the planner and i'm definitely the spontaneous one, and it annoys him to no end sometimes. i'm horrible at keeping plans if i tried, so i prefer last minute UNLESS its a wedding or something.
15I like to have a set schedule, but after that I am incredibly spontaneous. If I have a few days with nothing planned and I have extra cash, I usually leave town.
16I'm a bit spontaneous but .... I plan, I plan ALOT !! I make lists of lists ... I'm completely nuts :-s Really, it's a bit pathetic lol
17I often have spontaneous ideas/inspiration (Let's fly to Vegas for the weekend! I should quit my job and spend a year in Tibet!), but I hardly ever go through with them. My practical side takes over too soon
18Totally... actually last night my boyfriend (he's on tour with his band) called me and asked me to fly out and meet him in Calgary this weekend... and I'm thinkin' I might as well do it... nothing else going on... 4 hour flight isn't such a bad idea for a quickie
haha
19i've definitely been known to be spontaneous. i moved from NYC to florida without even thinking about it - or having a real plan. i'd never been to the part of florida that i moved - and i didn't know anyone or have a job, but i knew that it had to be better than my life in NYC at the time, so i did it and i was really happy for a while.
i think that as long as most of my spontaneity only affects me - then it's ok. when you have others depending on you - that's when you have to start thinking about the affects and really consider your options.
20I like carefully-planned spotaneity. LOL. So I guess not? I mean that I like to be spontaneous within a framework. I take risks that are calculated based on how I feel.
21YEEEH totally!
22and so is my boyfriend
I like to plan, but I love being spontaneous and surprising my boy with something new.
23I like a plan when it's something that involves people besides me and my hubby but the two of us can be spontaneous together. Our roomie is so spontaneous and you never know when he'll be home and when his gf is going to be here. I can't deal with that and I'm basically forcing him to be less spontaneous and tell us what is going on. I'm pretty sure he hates it but screw him it's my house.
