I've wanted a baby since I was 7. Now ten years later I still want a baby, but I'm no where near ready to have one.

I'm with Jude C. My husband and I are child-free by choice. Other people's children confirm we made the right choice for ourselves.

Truthfully, I think some parents are envious of US.

I started thinking about babies since I was 14, and I still want them 5 years later. But don't worry, I'm not having kids anytime soon. And it would be impossible for me to get pregnant unless its by immaculate conception

i have serious baby envy...whenever i see pregnant women im like aww theyre so beautiful and i love maternity clothes! haha i know it sounds crazy but ive wanted a baby as far back as i can remember....im only 22 so i have at least a few more years!

I'm so back and forth with this...a lot of my friends are married and having babies. Sometimes I do really want that but I know that there are things that I NEED to do first. And deep down, I really like being free...Imagine a little life depending on you!! Knowing that you HAVE to set an example...a lot of people don't think about it that way or take it that seriously but I definitely do...

omg, I have baby envy so bad right now. I'm definitely not ready to have a family, let alone get married, but all of my friends are pregnant or have babies. I think realistically though, I just want to play with babies all day.

Ah, yes! I've got mega baby envy! I've been married for 2 years and I'm almost 30 and I can hardly wait to be all preggers, but we've decided to wait until we're a little more settled. It's nice being able to look forward to it, though and to know that it will happen in only a couple of years! Soooo excited, but we want to be ready!

I LOVE BABIES.

The doctor checked me for an ectopic pregnancy yesterday though (I don't have one) and that was pretty scary. It kind of hammered home how many things can go wrong with a pregnancy and not all of them are all joy and light the whole way through!

Why is it ridiculous? Would you tell that to a 17 year old that has wanted to be a teacher since they were 7? All it is is a dream, a desire, a want.

I have the exact opposite response, hehe. Every time I see a pregnant woman I think "why would anyone voluntarily do that to herself??"

i dont think there is anything wrong with Pallas Athena wanting a baby at 7. its a natural thing. when youre that young it only seems natural... i mean sh*t... didnt most little girls play with baby dolls?

Definitely have had some form of "baby envy" since I was about 15... I really wish I was in a point in my life right now (25) that I could have kids, but like you, californiagirl, it'd be an immaculate conception, lol.

I'm 24 and not experiencing baby envy yet, though I did go from not wanting children AT ALL to wanting a kid or two someday.

I also wanted to point out that this was the WRONG picture to use for this, haha. The girl is pregnant and looking at her ultrasound pics!

I don't plan on having a baby anytime soon! I plan to be married and with enough money to have a baby. I'm not even having sex. I just grew up in a big family and have been around younger family members since I was two. My cousin got pregnant at 15 and 17 and so on and I see that she loves her children very much, but she also wants to live and go out and date and stay up as late as she wants. I want to live as well, but without children who I would definitely worry about and probably not leave home with someone.
