nice picture. i think i saw that lifetime movie. i believe it was called "Tides of Change".
I find the McCain-Palin ticket such an insult to all Americans and women in particular that it's not even worth discussing whether their experience claim has any merit or whether anyone should pay attention to anything she says about Iraq.
why is it an insult to women?
And why is it an insult to all Americans?
Liberty, you are just trying to get us all riled up, aren't you?
Think about it and you should be able to figure it out for yourselves.
Steph, please do explain how every single American should be insulted by two people.
You made the statement, you have the burden of proof.
Well, I don't find it insulting and I don't like to speculate as to why others have their views; we've learned recently that such speculation tends to cause problems on here.
on a more serious note, her comments about iraq, and god... OMG... scary.
I guess I am kinda stupid is she an insult to women cuz she is pro life?
Stephs?
please do tell?
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, YY set me up and it was too easy!! Twas a joke!
I, too, wonder why she is an insult to women "in particular"?
that it's not even worth discussing
Why would you bring it up if it's not worth discussing?
Steph, you have to know how that looks.
i am sure stephley is crafting a brilliant response at this very moment, but i'll respond in her stead. i'm guessing what she was getting at is that choosing palin was a purely political move on their part, as if women are stupid enough to vote based on gender alone. i agree that we shouldn't pay attention to what she says - but not because she's not an expert (which she's not), because it's SCARIER THAN HELL.
to clarify i meant what she says about iraq.
well looks like i jumped the gun. stephley really does NOT want to discuss.
You know what I find funny. Palins membership to AIP in 2004, Alaskan Independence Party (AIP), a group that seeks, among other things, a vote on whether Alaska should secede from the Union!!! (Alaska Governor Palin's Address to the AIP on youtube)
McCain should have vetted this woman more. I can't wait what comes out tomorrow.
then why say it
see this is one of the reasons I stopped coming to pop.
whoa - really?
hey in stephley's defense, sometimes you need to simply voice an opinion... get your thoughts out into the world. i don't think just because she finds it pointless to discuss it means that she couldn't back it up if she wanted to.
Stephley uses Citizen enough to know that statements like that don't typically go unnoticed without someone questioning them, though.
Yes -- it's on ABC and DailyKos picked it up as well....hummm
I agree yesteryear..sometimes u just want to state an opinion and not always feel a need to go into it detail by detail with people u know r just going to disagree anyways..sometimes lol
well if you have a few people asking you what you meant by that why not just answer.
the word of the day. "vetted"

: well I know I would disagree, but still curious to know why she
thinks she is an insult.
Especially if you are going to take the time to say it's not worth discussing. It's not quite the same as just stating an opinion and then bolting.
Yeah...it's very rare that Steph doesn't want to explain herself. I think we should give her a pass go free card for this one.
Maybe Step had better things to do.
I did noticed that the same ppl go from board to board mainly looking for people who they can brand "Obamabots" -- it get's old.
Can't blame her.
My point exactly Marni7
better than sugar???????? u mean like work? who actually does work at work anymore? lol sike..
And people jump on the conservatives on the boards just as much. it goes both ways.
lol -- no kidding -- how did you know I was at work....lol
hmmm Obamabots, what would McCain followers be called?
McCainaanites?
That's what discussion boards are all about. If you wanted a private discussion then go make a chat room or something (whoa -- my age is showing -- do they still have chat rooms???)
And believe me, I wouldn't brand Steph an Obamabot. In fact, I've never used that phrase or heard it. I realize that Steph supports Obama, but I haven't seen her be fanatical about him in the least. She obviously has her own opinions, they just happen to line up with Obama's most of the time.
LOL -- not falling for it! I didn't call McCain supporters anything.
so it's ok to pick on conservatives but not liberals? ummm ok. If she has better things to do she pro would not have commented in the 1st place.
No one wants a private discussion, dream, you were the one who brought up that you think people just jump around from board to board looking for others to criticize.
Pot, meet kettle.
We're all Americans -- and we can support who we want -- it all works out after November.
Anyway, I'm getting ready to leave work. Have a good evening, all.
I never heard of Obamabot b4 either. Thanks dream
Wait, one more comment. Who's saying we can't support whomever we choose? I think some of us are imagining non-existent slights.
LOL -- did say anything to that fact and Libs get picked on all the time. It really goes both ways.
I was just stating what I noticed -- I didn't call anyone out -- I didn't say your name.
When did I criticize you personally???? Interesting.
LOL -- interesting.
