If you're in love with a sports fan, it's time to put on your baseball hat, football helmet, or basketball jersey. Do whatever it takes to root for your man's favorite team, because a recent poll discovered that 30 percent of US men think sex is better after their team wins. 
The same poll also found that 10 percent said they had bad sex after their team suffered a loss, and some guys don't even want to have sex at all because they're too stressed out and wired to be in the mood. One in four male sports fans said that they'd even voluntarily give up sex for a month if it guaranteed a major win at the end of the season, and 11 percent would give up sex "for however long it takes."
The point here is that women underestimate just how important sports are to a guy. The bond he has to a team probably started when he was a little, watching sports with his dad, so it's something he's been tied to for most of his life. His favorite team was his first love before he found you, so you can understand why his emotions are so closely connected to it. I know it's frustrating to see your guy spend hours upon hours each week staring at the TV, but it may help to show him a little sympathy when his team loses — he might find it very sexy when you yell at the TV too!

OMGoodness..i dont mind baseball season so much but football has already started to take over my life again. He is in 2 fantasy football leagues and I will say that I did sacrifice many sundays to watch games with him last season (all he had to provide was fried chicken lol..im easy) For the most part I am supportive but its hard sometimes!
This year the season officially starts on my birthday! haha..we'll see what happens
1hahaha i'm the same way when the yankees are playing. if we're winning at the end of the night i'm alllll over my boyfriend. he's a huge yankee fan too so it works out perfectly
2I'm a girl sports fan, and nothing annoys the hell out of me more than when a guy pretends to understand the game or like a team I like just to get in my pants. I can't imagine it's much different for guys.
3My fiance gets totally angry when his team (TAMU Aggies) lose- like this past weekend. I wouldn't say sex is bad afterwards, it's defi more "angry" though haha!
Ditto to Marni- my life is just about to be totally consumed with football, college and NFL- luckily I just started two new magazine subscriptions
. I don't mind watching games with him, but I can only make it through 1/2
before getting distracted.

My fiance is missing part of a wedding to go to a Texas Tech/TAMU game- there was no discussion about it, I don't mind terribly bc it's a 4 day wedding of a friend he doesn't know at all . . but still I even let him invite a friend in town for company so they can have some man time, I try to be good about letting him enjoy his sports!

8OK so im a guy. I usually like it when the girl takes interest in the game... not really yelling at the TV but being interested in what's going on. As far as my team winning or not... I usually find that the sex after my team wins is awesome! Im a huge college football fan! IT'S GREAT TO BE A GEORGIA BULLDAWG!!!! LOL!!! If the girl likes another team it's cool, i like that bc then they're actually standing up for something they like or being flirtatious, but I HATE it when a girl will like the same team as me just bc i like it... it says they really don't care!
9if your man is into sports, he's not going to change that for you (and why would you want him to?) so you may as well get into it too. it makes it more fun to watch together, get rivalries going etc.

12i have my own teams to root for! can't a girl be a sports fan on her own? i adopted my last boyfriend's teams as my secondary favorite teams but i would never root for them over mine.

My boyfriend is a huge fan of the Washington Capitals. Insanely huge fan. Thankfully, they are one of the best teams in the league and have an amazingly great roster this season!
15I don't even remember specifically having sex after a game, so I dunno about that part.
But I think this idea applies to anything, not just sports. When guys are happy and excited...they feel like having sex and get into it. Same would go for girls, I bet guys might find that girls are really into sex after a really good shopping outing that makes them happy, or after whatever the girl likes to do ends well. Everyone feels more like having sex when they are excited and happy, especially with adrenaline going through you.

17My boyfriend is a HUGE Cleveland Browns fan, but I was easy enough to convert. He got me a couple jerseys to wear on game days and I get beer and wings for breakfast on Sundays. That's enough to make me say "Go Browns!" He does get all sad and mopey when they lose, which unfortunately, is too often...
18Ugh, rivalries are NOT awesome within a relationship. My husband and I like all opposing teams, and we both hate it, but they are teams we have been attached to since childhood, and neither of us are going to go give up our childhood teams for the other person (I would lose respect for him as a sports fan if he were to do so -- a real fan does not change teams just for a relationship!). But it really sucks when we spend the whole day bickering on game day and someone winds up happy but you can't enjoy it without the other person feeling like you are rubbing it in... I hate it.
Oh, and I may be female, but I'll agree with the 1 in 4 male sports fans who would give up sex for a month if it guarantees a major win at the end of the season... I'd give it up all season for a Steelers Superbowl win!
