Last weekend I had the pleasure of enjoying a quintessential Summer activity: swimming in a lake. I’m not going to lie; at first I was only brave enough to dip my big toe in, but after hanging out in the sun for a while, I finally took the plunge — and it was fun! The best part about being in the water was that it reminded me of how much I loved to swim as a kid, not for the health benefits, but just because of the sheer joy of being in water. Whether it’s slurping down a popsicle or playing boardgames with your family, do tell: What activities bring out the kid in you?

swinging. sometimes when we're the only ones at the park i'll swing with the kids. i lean back so far my hair brushes the ground
1my boyfriend and I went to this amazing park. I was immediately drawn to the swings! Sooo freakin fun! Luckily I'm pretty short, so I didn't look too ridiculous...
2I agree with swinging! It's so much fun.
3well alot of things.. but the one thing i remember right now at the top of my head (cuz it just happened a couple of days ago) is eating sour patch kids
4swinging, eating those orange and red popsicles, buying from the ice cream man, roller skating. lol. good times.
5Taking the 'old school trick bike with pegs' out for a ride with my boyfriend. He's about 220 pounds and with me on the back... Wellll, we collectively flattened the tires and bent the rims.
It was fun!
6Playing at the park and playing outside. Especially football, in the leaves or the snow.
7I have to agree with those who said swinging, and playing board games with my family makes me feel child-like again too.
I also feel like a kid when we go to Disneyland once or twice a year
8Swinging and skipping.
9Alot of things. Laughing makes me feel youthful.
10Playing at the park and climbing trees! I haven't climbed a tree in a long time though
11climbing trees, playing in the park, playing in the rain (I did this a few weeks ago with my sister and nephews and niece ... don't worry it wasn't a storm .. just a gentle sunny summer rain), gosh there are so many things!
12But nothing like swinging. I LOVE to swing. I have a picture of me, my boyfriend, and our friend swinging on the elementary playground at school just before their senior/my junior prom. We were all decked out in prom clothes and swinging! It was so much fun!!
As a "foodie" (I HATE that word!) I am one that gets completely child-like and dorky around really good, homemade, comfort food that I associate with my childhood. Throw in a few good friends and you have an instant 10 year old on your hands!
13That picture is so cute XD
14The swings do it for me too! Also dancing, laughing, skipping and favorite foods from childhood.
15i play with legos
16Bubble gum!
17Roller coasters and water parks.
18SWINGING!!! I turn into a kid the second I see them. Lol. OH! The second I hear the Mr. Softee truck... OOOOH BUDDY! You instantly feel the urge to run. Lol.
19hiking - reminds me of just playing in the endless woods in our neighborhood
20Swinging or just hanging out in the park. Swimming definitely does it too. Usually it's doing the activity and talking about my childhood that makes me feel like a kid.
21I sleep with a snowman toy.
My boyfriend (soon to be husband) has to put up with him falling on the floor and rescuing him so i dont wake up and panic.
I buy rubbish at duty free like stuffed animals, kinder chocolates...
I tear up and pout to get my way
I play fight with all my friends and stepdad
My step dad and myself run around like kids hiding things from each other
Lipsmackers.. i have one in every flavour, size, color, glitteryness... and liquid ones too!!
22Running barefoot in the grass.
23bubbles, swinging, playing with kids, making stink bombs
24Ahh...practical jokery.
25Swinging, blowing bubbles (hehe), drawing with chalk, and riding a bike. I rode a bike for the first time in years and it was so awkward. I should start cycling.
26Sleigh riding, swinging, running through the sprinker....
27Swimming freely in the ocean (which as an adult is very hard to do), playing Monopoly, playing badminton, and watching cartoons.
28slides at waterparks and playing video games, especially wii games (;
29This past weekend me and my SO didn't have the kids for the whole day so we took off and went to Hurrican Harbor water park. We went on all the slides together and then went down seperately and raced. We had such a great time. And it was much needed.
30I live in the deep south now. The grass and everything is tropical and sometimes dangerous. So a few times when I've traveled and I saw beautiful soft northern grass I just laid on my back in it, and felt it between my fingers and toes. It reminded me of childhood days up north.
