After passing the Secret Service's security screening, we made it into the Pepsi Center. Seeing the TV news boxes, each state's delegation seating assignment, the bright lights of the megapodium, and Katie Couric filming live made our excitement for all the action palpable.

We're gearing up for Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi tonight. If you're watching the fanfare, come back here to tell us what you think of all the speeches! And check out the pictures of our first peek inside.

1Pretty Exciting!
2Does she really smell like peaches?
3I love Katie Couric. I'm with her that castration and genital mutilation is an excellent way to modify male behavior, but I'm totally against the media being sexist. I mean, that's why Hillary lost.
I also think that physical violence is acceptable in the work place, (against men only of course) wherein coworkers can "slap eachother aound" if they feel like it.
4Nancy Pelosi is speaking right now. I don't hate her speech. I think it is kinda strange that all these people are speaking on behalf of Barack Obama and he isn't even there yet. I know he is campaigning, but I think it would be nice for him to be there for Michelle's speech.
5Katie Couric looks better in your photos than on tv.
6Very impressive venue. Crazy to think all those empty seats will be filled tonight.
7Up close and personal! Keep it coming Sugar! Feels like I'm there!!
8WOW, I just heard Chris Matthews say something kind of interesting...
He said something like many "Republicans" (so he is generalizing) don't like Barack Obama because he proves them wrong. Obama is what happens when you throw people a life line....they grow up, get scholarships, get educated and empower themselves. His life story really supports the democratic idea that if you start off with a small investment in children, scholarship and education, they can grow up and be productive members of society.
Makes you think.
9Less stiff guys! It's only Katie Couric.
10Hi there, Citizen. Will you or anyone else from PopSugar be attending any Republican events during the campaign ? I love PopSugar but am disappointed by the lack of coverage of John McCain on CitizenSugar.
