I've read the book, haven't seen the movie yet, but the books intention seems to want to make you cry. The writing is cuing you when to cry. Very cathartic, but after a few reads, kind of
trite. I'll try catching the movie sometime.
ok the movie didnt make me cry but omg. i cant even get thru like the first four chapters without bawling thru the book. i had warned my fiance (cause i had read the book before) and when i
got it from the library he was like 'is this the book you cried thru' haha
the movie was really cute but i guess if you didnt read the book first its better
