Who knew you were all such softies for this childhood classic? It may just be a cartoon, but Mufasa's death scene brings out some real waterworks!

I remember seeing this in the theater when I was little with my mom and cousin and we all bawled our eyes out. I wanted to leave right after Mufasa died. Sooo sad, especially for a kid.

I cried so hard in this movie. Also, mMssJules I bawled in Bambi more than Lion King because Deer are gentle creatures and Lions are more vicious and less defenseless.

Mufasa! noooo!
1When I saw it on Broadway for my birthday I was bawling.
2my husband and i watched it the other day and apparently it STILL gets me when mufasa dies sniffle
3the first time i ever cried in a movie i think it was bambi. i couldnt understand why his mom died in the beginning. so sad.
