What is it with the kids these days? Instead of ditching school to join rock bands, they're now dropping out to play Guitar Hero?! Yes, a North Carolina teenager named Blake Peebles is being home schooled so he can devote all of his free time to a videogame. Read the ridiculous report here.

After reading the whole article, I feel kind of bad for this kid, but I'm rooting for him. As long as he's doing better at home with a private tutor than at school (where I can only assume people weren't very nice) then more power to him. I hope he has a fallback if that pro gamer thing doesn't work out
1Well y'know.. Guitar Hero IS pretty awesome. And he's 16 and still technically going to graduate, not like he is 24 and quit his job at McDonalds thinking he could support himself and his kid this way!
2You think he would make more money as a pro Guitar Hero player or a pro guitar player, assuming he practiced the same amount to master a real guitar?
3yeah, i feel bad for him too. not fitting in in high school to the point where you want to be home schooled is the real sadness here. at least he has a goal and is completing his high school work.
4and my mom thinks we're wasting our time
jajaja poor pal
