Whether we like it or not, body image plays a role in our life. In fact, weight problems can bring out cattiness among friends and reveal our deepest insecurities, which is why it’s not uncommon to learn that so many women lie about their weight on their driver’s license. I guess we feel better when the real number isn’t staring us in the face. So is the weight on your driver’s license what the scale says it is?

"I didn’t lie about it at the time, but my body has since changed, so it’s no longer correct."
noooooo, just rounded it DOWN
I didn't lie about it! (at the time) but my weight fluctuates depending on mood and season and just about everything else. I try not to let it get to me. As long as my jeans fit, I'm good to go~
i didn't lie about it, but i definitely need to change it since i've lost about 20 lb since high school
They don't ask for your weight on PA driver's licenses.
yes, but only because I was losing weight last time.
and then I rounded up when I was too skinny years ago.
Yes I rounded it way down. But to be fair, I haven't stepped on a scale in years and I don't look nearly as much as I weigh (I would say I look pretty average, but the scale disagrees).
No weight on my driver's license... I've never lived in a state that required it! I didn't even realize that states did. Wow. That seems kind of weird to me, considering that I don't think in a 4 year period, I've ever stayed the same weight!
glad they do not ask such things here in australia
i would lie on principal
My weight was last updated on my license about 8 years ago. I just renew online, so there really isn't an option to change that information. I think my weight is accurate, because I am about the same weight I was back then.
they ask but it doesn't actually go on the license. i have no reason to lie anyways!
Florida only lists height!
I didn't lie because I have no reason to- I'm happy with my weight.
I'm with designergirl. No, I didn't lie. I'm happy with my weight also.
They took my info when I was 15... I'm now 23. I don't know how to change that otherwise I'd add 15lbs to that. Also my height is wrong because I grew since then. And the picture....
No, but I'm trying to lose a little weight before I get my picture taken again this year!
i just got a new license today- and i totally lied- but only by 3 lbs. in fact, as soon as i told them what i weighed i was mad at myself for not going lower...i'm planning on losing about 10 lbs in the near future
I lied about my height. I'm 5'3" but I told her i was 5'6" and she gave me this look like "b!tch please."
Not asked for in my Victoria, Australia either. I don't think I would have lied though...
They didnt ask my weight, but they asked for my eye color and that has changed since then!
for the first time in years i actually put my true weight...now i actually weigh less....
that has never happend before..lol
totally lied about without hesitation by 40 lbs at that!!
I lied considerably but now that i think about it I don't know why becuz I'm only fooling myself
"I didn’t lie about it at the time, but my body has since changed, so it’s no longer correct."
Nope, I have no problem with my weight. Eating healthier and leading a more active lifestyle will do that. I feel hot because my body is in good, healthy shape.
Sorry but I'm also going to blunt about my opinion about those who lied about their weight. Lying is an obvious indication of insecurity and self-dislike. Stop faking it and make it a goal to achieve the weight (healthy, not underweight) that would make you happy enough to be truthful about it. Otherwise, be happy with who you are, now.
I added 20 lbs more to my license. Instead of saying 110 lbs, I said it was 130 lbs. They didn't care, my beef was with the height though, I was measured by the doc (a few times) and it's always been 5'6 3/4 or 5'7 , and I told 'em that, but they put in 5'5. Hmmph. I like being 5'7 better. Darn it.
We dont have weight on our license only height and I'm 5'7 yay
You need to have your weight on your driver's licence in the states??? Crazy!
How weird when I saw this question. I did the same poll awhile ago. I learned that a lot of states don't ask about this.
Other. We don't have weight on our drivers license in Australia. I think its ridiculous, weight can change dramatically over time, and what's the point?
i didn't lie. but i was working out almost everyday & i was so much lighter then. i think i would have lied if i weighed the amount i do now.
ugh. i want a cookie.
In North Carolina, we don't have weight on our driver's license.
In KY they don't ask for the weight.
They don't ask for your weight on MA drivers licenses.
Mine isnt on mine, but I do believe I had to put it down when I filled out the form...
I dont care enough to lie.
Plus I weigh a lot more than I look like I weigh. I dont know if its because I have a lot of muscle or heavy bones or what. I have no clue.
But people are usually shocked and in disbelief when I tell them how much I weigh. NO one believes me until I step on a scale and show them. So I dont really care that I 'weigh a lot' since I'm actually very tall and thin. Its just a number.
Hahaha...I was stick at the time ...so yeah I actualy weight that that day...now its tottaly wrong...hahah
MD has the weight right there on the license. I didn't lie at the time, but I've gained 5lbs in the two years since it was issued.
I said I was 120 and at the time I think I was like 122. And now...(it's been 6 years!) I only weigh like 123-125 so it's not much of a difference I don't think.
The lady behind the counter guessed a lower weight than I actually weigh when I told her I wasn't sure. ^^;; So I just went along with it and was like "Yeeeaaahhh! Probably around that.." It's good to know I look like I weigh less than I actually do!
I really wouldn't want to change anything about my body shape or weight in the slightest. I'm really confident about it so I wouldn't have to lie about weight if they asked that on the DL.
Weight wasn't a question for my drivers license.
I didn't lie at the time, but unfortunately I've gained weight since getting my drivers license. But I'm not about to wait 5 hours at the DMV just to change a my weight by a few pounds. The DMV also misspelled my middle name and I haven't even gone back to change that.
ill be completely honest. i lied, and i put down what i'd like to weigh.. i dont htink its that bad
I estimated like 5 lbs more because I'm really bad at guessing, and I could have sworn that was how much I weighed the last time I stepped on a scale...Oh, well.
I didn't have to list my weight.
For those that did, does the weight actually show up on your license? I don't think I'd like showing it to everyone every time I have to show ID.
I didn't lie when I first got my license at 16. However, I've had to renew it since then (when I turned 21) and when the lady asked if i wanted to update any of the info on the license, I just said no! Even though I've gained 30 pounds since then...
Haha luckily I look like I weigh less than I do *whew*
who cares?!!
alenka for whatever reason they ask.. the first time I was under 100lb.. and the other time I was dropping baby weight (I told the lady I was rounding down because of that and she said "well good for you!"), but NOPE it isn't listed. They just ask because they're fk'n nosy I guess.
It's actually listed on all the states I've had licenses in--AL, LA, and DC all put your weight on your license.
