Sometimes when you're feeling blue — you got demoted or broke up with your boyfriend — the smallest thing can pep you up, just like that. For some it's ordering your favorite comfort food, for others it's splurging on that top you had your eye on but couldn't justify buying, and for still others, it's as simple as calling up your best friend for a good old fashioned vent session. Treating yourself always makes you feel better, and while I'm not an advocate of giving into your vices every time the going gets tough, I admit I like to do a little of all three when I've had a bad day! So what about you? Do tell, what's your instant upper when you're feeling down?

1would help a whole lot if hubby was there to hold me
I shop, sometimes I don't even buy anything, I'll head to the mall, get something to drink (frapp or smoothie) and walk around until I've lost some of the tension. I think of it as a form of exercise
2Pedicure or hanging out with my girls. Also, chillin with my mom always makes me feel better too.. and a nice big hug from my boyfriend.

9Either go to the gym... I workout better when I'm angry or having issues.
Or
Head to In 'n Out and get a Double-Double, with fries, Iced Tea and a chocolate shake... sit and home and put on Flipping Out or some show I'm really into at the time.
Or
Get Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream from Baskin Robbins.

13Blog and go get my favorite caffeine beverage.
14I read something light. This was a good trick last spring, I was a bit homesick sometimes at new town.
15I drink a Chai tea from Starbucks! It's like a hug for my insides
16The only thing that works for me is exercise!
17exercise, shopping and wine, plus some good take out or pasta! All of that!! Plus music!
18Bottle of wine..or two.
I like to cook as well...when I'm angry or upset, I mull things over while I'm cooking which takes my mind off of the problem.
19a strong cocktail
20I go shopping. Or, if I'm at home, I put on my biggest pieces of fine jewelry, and relax on the couch. Bling jewelry makes me happy.

32and a drink afterwards with the girls.
Not in any particular order, buttt:
reality television, cartoons, frozen starbucks coffee, pizones with tomato soup [really, its good!], mcdonalds...oh, this list could go on and on. Is it bad that food is really what gets me going?
33hanging out with my friends & junk food! haha!
34Without a doubt, listening to music. Preferably spending some time alone, but still talking it out with friends over the phone or online. And probably some form of carbs.
35Friends, junk food, music, movies/tv shows to distract, comfort food, cigarettes
36Read or watch something that'd make me laugh for at least a good solid minute. Gigglesugar can be good for this.
Or something like this: http://chinglish.de/
37watch a really cheesy teen movie. lame, i know.
or go drink coffee and talk with a friend. nothing can make your day better like wasting 3 hours talking and drinking coffee.
38Watching Sex and the City. It always makes me feel better, no matter what.
39Either go browsing at the mall (If I really want, I'll splurge on one item); napping/watching hours of mindless TV; eating a GOOD MEAL (I call my boyfriend up, and instantly, I have a dinner companion and a free meal); or I call my boyfriend and he comes over, day or night, to console me like a baby; sometimes, exercise.
40Starbucks cafe mocha. Chocolate & coffee together - what could be better than that?! Otherwise, Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
Are we seeing a trend here?
