No, no, no. And people who are touchy-feely make me VERY uncomfortable, unless they are family or very close friends. And even then, I'm not crazy about it.

I am only touvhy-feely with my bf. I love holding his hands and being kissed or getting back rubbies.

My sister is touchy feely with my mom but I couldn't be like that. They hold hands and stuff like that...I guess my mom and me just aren't close like that!

i'm touchy feely, not inappropriately but i also need to be making some type of contact.

it all depends on the situation and the person. my roommates come pile into my bed for a movie at night or on a saturday morning after a rough friday night to watch tv until we can move. my family is very affectionate so kisses on the cheek is totally normal. also, i live in south louisiana- it's a tradition of sorts that men kiss ladies on the cheek. since i was a little girl random men, mainly being my dad's friends, have kissed me on the cheek hello saying in their cajun accents, "hey bay." i'm not big on guys my age being touchy unless we have that kind of connection. my good guy friends and i generally are affectionate.

that last sentence was are NOT affectionate.

I'm touchy feely with people I know or like, but with others I just do a handshake.

*A lot of my friends aren't touchy feely though especially since I'm friends with girls and if I hold their hands for a minute or so they pull away. It isn't like I'm a lesbian and trying to hit on them or something.

I'll give hugs, but not kisses. Kissing is very personal I think, so even a kiss on the cheek means a lot to me.

Touchy-feely I guess with people I know. This is funny because we went out with some friends last night and one isn't touchy-feely and can joke about it. Everyone else gets big hugs and kisses and we have a quick pat/ hug for her!

I am not touchy feely at all. I hate when people greet me with a hug or kiss on the cheek. It makes me so uncomfortable, I don't know why! I don't even like hugging my friends. I'm just one of those people who needs space, both physically and emotionally.

people who don't know me initially assume that i'm not the type to be greeted with a hug, so they don't do it.

i think it's all about body language and the vibe a person gives off.

i'm not touchy-feely at all but i'm weird. i would rather a kiss on the cheek than a hug. people i'm really close to, i don't mind hugging but people i'm not too close to i feel really weird pressing my body against them. a few of my friend's extended family (aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents) give me kisses on the cheek and i like that much more than a hug. unless i'm really really close to you, i'm not too big on hugs. a boyfriend is a whole different story. obviously i like hugging and kissing him.

Agree with Asia84, I gauge by a person's body language whether they want to be hugged or not. With family and close friends I'm quite touchy-feely. Everyone in my extended family is very affectionate, so it feels natural to me.

I hug my guy friends & kiss on the cheek with my girl friends when we first see eachother. link arms with the girl friends when we walk and update eachother. but mostly touchy feely with my boyfriend.

By nature, no, I am pretty private unless I know someone really well. I may say anything, but when it comes to touching I actually am very, very slow to enter someone else's "space" or let them into mine.

But if people are in my life, yes, I will totally hug them, etc. However I tend to be sort of "when in Rome" about it.. European friends get the 2-cheek kiss thing, because that is what they give. My American friends are more the huggy, cheek-peck type, so that is how I respond.

Part of being well-mannered, I think, goes beyond what "you" would do and moves into understanding what the other person expects or is comfortable with, and I do try to meet any difference in approach with diplomacy and understanding.

I'm definitely more touchy-feely, except there are always those people who are really fake, who just try to hug you because they think that it makes them look cool. As in, if you're hanging out with some different people, and then one of them makes it seem like they're friends with 'the new girl'.

But definitely I would say that I'm touchy-feely with my friends.
