If the idiocy pundits are spewing on television is any indication, the political discourse around the upcoming election is pretty low on substance. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart mocks one dude's critique of Obama (based on what proof, we'll probably never know) that he — gasp! — eats arugula. Amazingly, Jon's mockery includes the word "bacon" and the phrase "the anus of an American bald eagle" in the same sentence. Now that takes genius. . .
