If you're a history fanatic, you're going to love the vintage White House videos AMC has gathered. The network rolled out some 1960s archive footage to set the scene for its straight-out-of-the-sixties series Mad Men. Especially satisfying, for Jackie Kennedy and presidential trivia fans alike, is video of the White House Tour given by the gracious lady of the (White) House. You can see the first part of the first lady tour below. Mrs. Kennedy confers her knowledge in a calm voice, bringing the presidential residence to life.

Jackie Kennedy had the coolest manner of speaking! I don't know how she kept it up all the time.
1Being 1st lady seems like the most fun job ever.
2Oh, how old I feel. I actually remember watching this when it was broadcast. Guess that makes me "vintage."
3Yeah Stephley.... thats the old-school etiguette that many of the films of the 60s used. The men had this robotic tone in there voices...while women spoke in soft tones. I wouldnt be surprised if they were holding up cue cards behind the camera.
4Thats etiquette..... Sorry about the typo. I got my Gs and Qs mixed up. Its a coincidence that were discussing vintage video while the movie 'Good Night, And Good Luck' is coming on right now. I never got a chance to see it.
5I love Jackie O! She was such a class act.
6love the outfit!
7love the video!
