3Hate to break it to all of you, but as funny as it is it was a fake proposal. It was staged by the Wizards promotional department either early this season, or late last season. It's just too perfect that it is a "Hot or Cold Challenge". Still would be funny if you were in the arena though.

10Bizzyatwork, it's hard to know how to react to the possibility that this might have been staged. On the one hand, it's definitely funnier if it's real--but on the other hand, it's good it didn't really happen to that poor guy!

12Hate to say it, but she looks genuinely freaked out right there at the end. I think it might be real. If it was staged, they could have done something a bit more dramatic than just having her run away before he even made the proposal. If it is real, I feel bad for that poor dude. Even if she didn't want to marry him, she should have just played along while the whole arena (and now the whole world, via internet) was watching. Maybe she was freaked by all the attention and fled?
