When the well's dry, we know the worth of water. ~ Ben Franklin

Is there something you learned to value more fully only after it wasn't available?

1awww andaman, that's beautiful.
2I think that's human nature, unfortunately
Seems like "you don't know what you've got 'til
it's gone" is the norm rather than the exception. Not sure why that is the case, but it is at least for me.
3Even if I try to value something and not take it for granted, I usually end up doing just that some point along the line.
What I didn't value was the convenience of living in suburbia. I moved 18 miles east of the home I grew up in when i got married, and I moved 18 miles away from all convenience - the closest Target is 10 miles away! (I know some of you will think I'm crazy) At home I had 3 within a 5 mile radius. I could walk places if I wanted, and now, it's just not an option. Then I'm torn whether or not to drive to those convenient stores because I'm contributing more CO2 to the air... oi.
4my mom.
