One of the perks about being in a relationship is that you always have someone — a special someone — to go home with. But even though sex is more readily available when you're married or in a long-term relationship, it's also easier to skip it when you're too tired, too stressed, or some other extreme since you know it's always a possibility.
I'm constantly curious how often people in relationships have sex. Though the stereotype is that lust dies down over time, I suspect that most of my attached friends have sex more than you'd think. So, if you're married or in a committed relationship, how often are you having sex? If you're single, do you speculate about your married friends? What do you think is the norm?

With us it's at least 3 time a week sometimes more but not less. If we only did it once a week then probably one of us was sick or soemthing. It's funny because my husband has a timer if we go two days without it on the third day he's all over me. It's a pattern I noticed but it never fails. I think it's so cute

4I said other...because when my bf and I were living on our own it was at LEAST every day, sometimes multiple times a day...but then we moved into my mom's house and now it's more like 2-3 times per week. I don't think there is any "norm" I just think it's what the couple feels comfortable with!
5Hm...my boyfriend and I don't live together...so when we DO see each other on the weekends (we are both busy with work and other commitments during the week) we almost always DO. And if we are spending nights and weekends over at each other's its usually multiple too

7depends on the week-- sometimes its every other day--sometimes we'll do it like sunday night and then things will come up and we won't do it again til thursday...
then again--unless i have my period saturday and sunday mornings are always sweet

101-2 a week, give or take. depends on kids, moods, privacy, sometimes we're like rabbits, sometimes, we're like, okay lets get this over with and meet our quota.
11On average once a month, and it sucks. It's really an issue. I want it at night, and he's already asleep and he wants it in the morning and has a hard time waking me up (no pun intended....in fact I WISH).
It really really really is making me hesitant to have kids b/c 1) I'm sure I'll feel less attractive afterwards and 2) we'll be even MORE tired and stressed out and interrupted.
HELP! Has anyone noticed their sex life PICKING UP after kids?? Please tell me yes!
12Plus_2_kid - don't worry! It's been waaaaaay better for us since having our daughter. I'm not sure why...I think after the whole hospital experience and showing my body to everyone and their mother, I became less insecure. Plus, you really only feel less attractive four a month or two. Things get back to normal (or better than normal) after that.
Might I also suggest that you make time for it? I know that sounds completely un-romantic, but maybe if you set a mental date on your calendar (once a week, maybe?) that's your night/morning to just go for it. Your man (and probably you too!) will be pleasantly surprised

13I was never into the multiple times daily, I don't know why. I feel it's too time consuming. Foreplay, 30 mins, then cleanup. that's almost an hour lol.

21imLissy: That makes me SO sad to hear you say that neither of you enjoy it. I think you need to try and change around some things so that you do enjoy it!!! There is no reason you should go through life thinking that sex is a chore.
22It depends. This week we've been at it nightly but there are times when we go a couple weeks without. We have definitely died down since the beginning. We spent the first solid year having sex multiple times per day, and then we moved in together. It's kinda sad that it's dropped off a bit, but the quality is still there
23we don't live together, we probably see each other 3-4 times a week, and we almost always do it when we see each other. if i am spending the night we'll do it maybe twice the same night if we're up for it.
24My boyfriend I have sex almost daily.. sometimes more than once because we can't keep our hands off of each other when we both get home from work. Every now and then we will skip one day.. only because the night before was earthshattering.
He doesn't officially live with
me, but he does stay over most nights and we both think the other is simply irrestible.

26OK, I said other because when we were at school together, my boyfriend and I had sex at least every day, but this summer and this semester, we lived in separate places, so that wasn't possible. But he just came for a visit and we DEFINITELY took up where we left off lol.
27My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship so we don't really get to see each other much... but once we do get together, we pretty much do it everyday. =)
