San Francisco's marriage-equality lightening rod, Gavin Newsom tied the knot himself over the weekend. In a Montana ranch ceremony he married actress Jennifer Siebel. If you watched last night's Mad Men premiere, you'll know her as Betty's old roommate and pricey prostitute, Juanita.
Guests of honor included Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former Mayor Willie Brown. The golden and beautiful affair was the second set of "I dos" for Newsom. He and former wife Kimberly Guilfoyle (of Fox News fame) split shortly after he began issuing maverick same-sex wedding certificates in 2004.
On top of her one-time Mad Men performance (or not!, she does have Don's business card), the bride has appeared recently on the NBC show, Life. The groom just filed exploratory papers to run against Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for the office in 2011. The couple will honeymoon in Africa.

Congrats Mayor. Way to get out of your city before more sanctuary illegals shoot other citizens.
1I think he is very good looking, but IMO, not the most innocent husband out there.
2I love her dress!
And Mad Men is my new obsession. Everyone should watch it!
3It abounds with references to Ayn Rand, though (at least the first season did), so liberals might want to stay away.
4This is great I'm very happy for them and I can't wait for the kids. Although rumor has it that she's not quite ready for that, maybe for professional reasons. He's all gun ho and ready to be a father like yesterday though.
"Congrats Mayor. Way to get out of your city before more sanctuary illegal’s shoot other citizens."
It just so happens UnDave that as soon as that shady deal was revealed to the Mayor he made it clear that he wanted it stopped. Yes it was happening under his watch and more to the point under his nose, definitely his bad but it is a program that he neither created nor endorsed.
5He endorsed this program on the air 3 months ago. It's politically expedient to change his mind, since his decision to have a sanctuary city has directly resulted in violence and death.
6Kim, the liberals will hate it since the firm loves Nixon. You should think before you speak about leading them in the wrong direction!
7Exactly, liberals hate Ayn Rand, too!
8Yes we do, and well we should.
9I'm now obsessed with both his suit and her dress.
10It really is such a gorgeous picture and that dress is just WOW!
11UnDave: From what I understand in an interview on The Bill Orielly show last week, yes the Mayor did direct authorities to turn over illegal youths to juvenile authorities rather than to ICE as any sanctuary city should if they're going to be a sanctuary city. However, he turned them in to be prosecuted for their crimes not for a free ticket back home. If you want to blame anyone for that blame the judges that weren't doing their jobs because Gavin Newsome did his. The Mayor did his part by turning them in and the Judges should have done there's by making sure they paid for their crimes. Like I said as soon as he found out that the whole thing was shady he called it off.
12Hypno - I'm going to apologize, I can't find the article where he defended being a sanctuary city. If I find it, I'll let you know.
13Let me try that again.
I apologize.
That's better.
14Well I don't doubt for a minute that he defended being a Sanctuary City but being a S.C. and allowing what those judges allowed once the juveniles were under their jurisdiction are two different things.
15I know Sugar Inc. is in San Fran but I find it curious that this is being posted on Citizen. Would the wedding of another city's mayor make it onto this site?
16I think its news mostly because SF is a sanctuary city, and is also the place where an illegal shot and killed two residents.
17The engagement of Florida's governor made Citizen.
18Crist is a possible VP candidate. However, I agree that Newson is news because he has made himself a news interest many, may times.
