When you reach a certain age, it's only human to think more seriously about your future in relation to the dating game. If getting married and having kids is of interest to you, many women are of the mindset that time is of the essence. Sure, dating is fun, but if there's no real connection, is there a point of going through the motions with someone you don't inevitably see yourself with? Though I believe you learn from each experience, I completely understand that mentality — you don't want to miss out on meeting Mr. Right when you're wasting time dating Mr. Right Now! I curious to know what you all think on this issue, so do tell, when you reach a certain age, is dating for fun no longer of interest to you?

I got married at 22, so...no.
1I'm married, and I still "date for fun."
If my husband wasn't "fun", I wouldn't have married him.
2i think so!
3but as themissus said, anyone i date would be fun to me, and i don't think even when i was younger i was dating whomever just for the sake of it
if we're not compatible, i wouldn't bother
it's always nice to think there's a future, or at least the possibility of a future with someone you like
Well, I'm looking to get back into the dating scene... However, I would love, love, love to get or be married at 25 years-old.
4Dating "for fun" is something that should end after your undergrad years, I think. If not earlier!
I don't see the point of leading someone on if you don't plan on keeping them around for the long haul. It's best to cut your losses, try to stay friends, and move on. Besides, it's healthier to be single than in a relationship that is not fulfilling.
Once you get into your 20s, I think it's best to have a "Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours" philosophy. Stay honest with the people you date and play the friends card when you realize it's not going anywhere.
5The guy in the picture looks extremely hott!!
Having a bf is definitely fun when your young.
6i think there does come a time when if the person isn't a possible husband then it isn't fun. by that i mean that if you say over 30, catholic and only want to marry a catholic, you wouldn't date a non-catholic. anything that is a deal breaker for you screen for immediately. if they say on the first date that they don't want kids and you do; there is no second date.
7I'm still in college, and I don't believe in wasting my time with someone I can't see myself with in the future. I mean, I think if I'm compatible with him, and I really like him...Then, I see myself with him in the future. That's good enough for me.
