In this day and age, where most of us carry a BlackBerry, a cell phone, an iPhone, or maybe even all three, it's easier than ever to get ahold of people. My mom, for instance, always has her phone with her, no matter the day or the time. Then there's my BFF, who is notorious for never answering her phone and lagging on her email responses. While I understand the need to disconnect every once in a while, I love knowing that I can always rely on certain people in my life to answer my call or return my text. Where do you fall on the accessibility spectrum? Are you one that always has your phone out on the table, just in case, or do you prefer to remain a little out of touch?

When my social life was full of endless laughs, yes it was hard. Now-a-days all you have to do is call the house...lol
1I'm in between. If you call me you will never get a response from me and everyone knows by now to NEVER call me. LOL but if you text me then you will respond within an hour or so unless I'm on vacay or with my boyfriend.
2* I meant then I will respond
3I'm usually pretty easy to get ahold of. From time to time I just decide to ignore my cell phone for a day or two, but those days are rare.
4i sleep with it on my bedside table, and even if i don't have it with me all the time, like at work or whatever, within an hour at least i'll see your message, but like shopaholic, i don't much like talking on the phone, so you're better to text me
the only time i'm out of reach is when i'm at the cottage, therefore out of cell service, and i like it that way - when i'm there, i'm offline and that's the reason i go!
otherwise, when i'm in the city, i'm in touch 100%
5i couldn't imagine not having a cell phone
6i've been sleeping with one by my bed since i was 14 years old...and trust me, that's more than 10 years ago now! (oh god, i'm old)
I never answer my phone.
Not for family... husband... Whatever. I just don't do the whole "phone" thing. People leave messages if they need to... But everyone knows the text way to communicate with me is via text or email.
7It depends..at work I always turn my phone off..but check my email about every 10 seconds lol..otherwise I have my phone on me most of the time
8The first option pretty much sums up my life. Ask anyone around me... my phone NEVER leaves my side! I'm sure it is insanely annoying but it keeps me avaliable for work, school, friends, and family. The funny thing is that I absolutely hate using the actual phone! If I could have one without a speaker and just text and email I would be the happiest person alive!
9i always have my phone, but i only always answer for certain people. my mom, one of my closest friends, and (at the time) my boyfriend. anyone other than that goes to voicemail. i'm not big on the phone. like everyone else, i'm way better with texting.
10I always have my phone nearby but it's on vibrate ALL THE TIME, unless I'm expecting an important call, which I never am. So I never pick up because I never know it's ringing. But I check my phone once in a while and call back if and when I feel like it.
I hate texting.
11I almost never answer my phone, because I almost never feel like talking to people
But I'm always super prompt on emails and IM.
12I've usually got my phone on hand, but sometime i leave it at home or in the car on accident. Also, if you call and I see it and I don't immediately call you back, yeah I forgot you called. Same for text, when I can't think of a response I think "I'll text him/her later" but I very rarely remember within 12 hours of when you contacted me. Emails, yeah pretty much I don't respond, ever.
13Until I can afford an iPhone, I am "unavailable"!
I'm horrible about returning calls. I swear it has to do with quitting cigarettes a few years ago. Before then, I was a phone wh*re.
14...although I'll email all day long with friends!
15i am very easy to get ahold of. between my phone, and IM, i'm on both nonstop. i sleep with the phone next to my bed because im oncall for work alot.
16I miss the days of just having a house phone. But due to my current job I am on-call 24 hours a day. My office phone pages my cell phone and my email account. So I have to have my cell with me. That being said I try and return any call or text message as soon as I can. If someone is trying to get in touch with me then they deserve to be called back promptly unless their message indicts otherwise. I used to be awful at returning calls or answering the phone. My very first friend would call me and sometimes I just didn't want to talk to her. I knew how the conversation was going to go and often had other things I wanted to be doing. I was out for lunch one day with my mom and gf and she called and I let it go to voice mail. Her message was cheerful just calling to say hey, hoped things were well. So I forgot about it. The next morning I received a phone call from her mother saying she had died the previous afternoon and that she had tried to get a hold of me to hear my voice one more time. But she didn't want me to worry about her. She was that type of person. So because of that, when my phone rings I do what I can to answer it or call them back as soon as I can. Sorry for the long story.
17With 20 ways to contact people these days, where the hell is everyone???
18I'm not exactly the easiest person to get a hold of. I always have my phone, but I always put it on silent and I have a hard time feeling it vibrate so I can never really tell if someone's calling me. Also, I rarely ever check my phone. I wonder why I have it at all. The best way to contact me is via e-mail or through the college's student e-mail.
19It depends. If it's someone I care about, I'm fairly easy to get a hold of. If it's a casual friend or acquaintance, I'm difficult to get a hold of. I only make myself available to those who are important to me. That's how I operate.
20my phone is always with me. i like knowing that i'm available to my family if they need me, since we live so far away. i may not be able to do much, but if they need to talk or text, i want to be there in any way i can. i do get upset when i miss a call or text, sometimes i just don't hear it due to my hearing loss, so a lot of the times i keep my phone on warble. they know that i'll get back to them asap.
21It's not that I don't have my phone, it's I put my phone on vibrate at night and never remember to take if off. Then I put it in my jam packed purse and never feel it vibrating.
22I absolutely hate when my phone rings off the hook, so sometimes I would "forget it" at the house just so I didn't have to deal with certain people.. Now since my hubby is in Afghanistan I have it on me 24/7.. I even take it with me when I take a shower and set it on the window sill.. it's pathetic..haha
23I ALWAYS have my phone, but I don't always answer it
24I always have my phone, but I often miss calls because I don't hear my phone ring. The people I will immediately answer or call back is my dad and my boyfriend. Everyone else...I will acknowledge their missed call and call back when I have lots of time and I remember.
25I prefer to be called, but even then if im not around you might have an issue catching me. If i have my cell on me, ill get back to you depending on who you are.
26I wish I didn't have a cellphone. I hate how dependent we are on them, now. There isn't such a thing anymore as a quiet train ride or chatting with someone sitting next to you on a bus. Everyone is always attached by their phone to somewhere they're NOT, rather than just being where they are. I swear that people have stopped noticing the small things about the world, the little pleasures of the sound of rain on car roofs and observing other people because they're always gabbing away on their phones. People can WAIT to talk to you until you're done having lunch, or driving your car or having a face-to-face with someone else. Take that thing away from your ear for a minute and listen to the sound of the world going around!
Wow! I forgot how passionate I am about this subject!
27I have twitter, facebook, gmail and an iPhone. I'm far too contactable. ;p
28pretty easy most of the time. esp through email when i'm at home or hooked up to wifi. sometimes i cant hear my mobile ring, hopefully when i upgrade later in the year i'll be better
29I'm inbetween. I check my email a couple times a day during the week, but never on weekends. I carry a cell phone but I don't answer it at work (my hubby knows to call my office phone and I don't need to talk to anyone else while I'm working). When I'm at home, I rarely answer my cell-- I hardly ever hear it ring and I'd rather let it got to voicemail and then call them back when I'm in the mood.
30I'm exactly like the friend mentioned... my phone is always with me, but i usually don't answer and i take a while to respond to emails... what can i say, i'm just lazy... i do better with face-to-face communication
31i sleep with my blackberry right next to my pillow. i always have my phone at arm's reach, and my boyfriend knows this, so when I miss a call or don't respond to a text, he probably knows i just want to be alone.
32Nope. I'm super flake. I often forget my phone in strange places or leave it on silent and miss calls.
33I'm usually easy to get a hold of. If I don't have my phone with me then you can call my house or email me. Even if I do have my phone with me sometimes I can't answer and sometimes I'm sleeping. I can sleep through anything and if I'm really tired then I even sleep through my phone's loud, beautiful, Welsh vowels ringtone.
34I am the person who is notorious for leaving my cell phone in the car while eating, shopping or working out. I rarely check e-mail and my voicemail is usually full because I forget to check messages. I have also lost 3 phones in the past year because I leave them in random places. Hurrah for insurance! This has gotten me in trouble when people are trying to find me but sometimes I just don't want to be found.
35I used to be really easy to get a hold of but lately I leave my phone on silent or vibrate and don't check it for hours at a time. And sometimes even if I am near the phone, I won't answer. It's just too much hassle for ppl to be able to get a hold to me at any given point.
36i used to be one. but now, i answer calls that i want to answer. and sometimes, i cant attend to the calls i wanna answer. because i either leave it in the room and go out in the living room or i leave it in the living room go pooing or something. and when im asleep, i usually cant pick up calls
