I don’t consider myself a competitive person, but I can get pretty feisty during a round of Guitar Hero or a game of Scrabble. There’s nothing wrong with a little competition in a friendly game, but what about when it comes to a relationship? I’ve always kept my tiny competitive edge away from my significant other, but I’ve seen some couples duke it out over Monopoly or worse, their roles at work. Maybe it has more to do with the urge to get out a little tension than an actual desire to win, but what do you think? Have you seen this in other couples? Do you and your man ever go head to head?

Yea in Pool! And he always kicks my ass!!!
1my husband wins at everything against everyone. its annoying really
from racquetball to cards to pool to tavli to tic tac to to basketbal, the list goes on and on. hell i dun even try anymore. hes no fun
2We get really competitive with card games, Monopoly, and in some of his fighting wii games.
3yes, and it usually ends badly unless I win. I'm such a sore loser.
4my ex & i used to play monopoly together, but we'd play for favors, so then we both won.
5My boyfriend is extremely competitive, no matter what game or who he plays against he has to win. He gets upset whenever I beat him in anything. It can be frustrating having someone be so upset that it takes the joy of winning away. I really wish we could just play for fun without worrying about who wins or loses =T
6only jokingly competitive. like we played mini putt on sunday and we joked around, but i guess it's not in my nature to care that much about a game.
7I am very very competitive, but not in the "I get really mad if I don't win" way. I get really into any game or competition and I get really intense about it, but in a super silly fun way, so then even if I lose I still laugh and have fun, and then I just get even more intense to win next time! haha! With the ex everything was a fun competition, we played the usual like mini-golf and board games like that, but then whenever there were stairs around, it was a competition to see who could get up or down the stairs first complete with pushing and tickling and him just holding me b/c then I couldn't get away, lol lol lol lol. And it was always a fun silly game to see who could get their seat belt on first in the car, hahahhahah, and we had a constant game of rock paper scissors going for months...haha, it made life interesting and fun.
8I've seen my sister get competitive with her boyfriend but her boyfriend isn't as competitive. However, she almost beat him in arm wrestling with her good arm. That's my sister!
9I am super competitive with my boyfriend. We manage to turn things like cooking or picking a bottle of wine into a competition. While I can see why this wouldn't work in all relationships, we both have an accepting view of winning or losing and the competition just allows us to add more excitement to everyday activities.
10wii tennis!!
11I am so glad my husband is as non-competitive as I am. I cannot stand competitive people.
12I'm not that competitive, except when it comes to grades. When my boyfriend and I had the same class, I would be so frustrated because I would study for days or work on a paper for weeks, and he would study for six hours or write his paper in about three hours, but still get a higher grade. He would get ten points higher than me, and I would get so annoyed! His advice: Grades aren't about how hard you study, but about how naturally smart you are. Uhh...Thanks?
Then, when I started winning at Scrabble (The only thing I can beat him at), I started throwing hissy fits when he won. Like, I would get really angry when he would start beating me, and I would start getting really nasty. Haha. I've calmed down a lot over the summer after he had a little "talk" with me.
