I would love to have my boyfriend shop with me more often and give me his opinion ... but really all the remarks from him can be summed up as "I don't care what you put on ... as long as I can take it off!"

hmm i dont NEED his approval, but sometimes its nice to ask for his opinion before a purchase..although most of the time he is just looking intensely into his blackberry when we go into a women's clothing store

i cannot shop with my husband, he HATES shopping. he's always following right behind me trying to rush me!!

When I ask my boyfriend's opinion on something, he usually says, "Sure. I don't know. Why are you asking me?" Not the best shopping partner.

I love to shop with my boyfriend! Yesterday he took me on a Sephora shopping spree for my birthday. He even held the little mesh bag while I browsed.

The only reason we'd go shopping together is if we were shopping for him and then we stopped at the shoe department on our way out. Then he just sits in one of the chairs and plays a crossword game on his cell phone while I try on shoes. The only time he voiced an opinion about a pair was for some bright pink Betsey Johnson pumps--he didn't like them, but he still bought them for me for my birthday present.

I don't need or want approval for clothes, I prefer shopping for those alone. But when it comes to non-personal stuff...music, movies, computer stuff, groceries, household appliances..he is really pleasant to shop with, patient, and good company.

But he knows when it comes to my "own stuff" to leave it to me, as it should be..cause its my cash!

I like when my husband takes me shopping- he tells me everything makes me look hot. And, he gives me approval to 'spluge' on things, which means anything over $30 because I'm cheap!

My boyfriend would rather shove hot pokers into his eyes than go shopping. So I'd never subject him to it.

My husband and I don't do a lot of shopping, as far as shopping for clothes and shoes goes, together. We grocery shop every weekend together and if I wanted to shop for other stuff he'd do it. While my husband usually doesn't have a lot of constructive input as far as how the clothes look he has things he hates seeing on me and things he likes, so he's cute and helpful if need be. And he holds bags and my purse like a good lil' husband. I'm so spoiled.

My boyfriend is like a gay best friend... except straight, masculine and attracted to boobies... maybe I should rephrase this. My boyfriend is amazing and picking out clothes that will look good on me. We can walk into a store, I'll choose something I'll like, he'll look at it and say "no, try it in yellow" and it will look incredible! I looooove shopping with him, best boyfriend ever.

Honestly, I dont go anywhere without my man. I know that sounds smothering but its not. We live and work together. And we dont even like to go to the store without one another. So I love it when we go shopping because he is there giving his opinions.

I can't be bothered with other people's schedules and physical abilities (I'm too tired..can we get a pretzel?).

Dan will ask me to go shopping with him for his clothes, and the other day he thought it would be cute to go shopping with me...and i just gave him the look.

Normally, I prefer to shop alone- but when I'l lucky enough to have my hubby with me, he's brilliant! When he likes it, he says something like- "That is so YOUR style!" I know that when he doesn't say anything, he doesn't like it! He's better than any girlfriend. AND, like bbkf said- I hate to spend too much on clothes, but he'll be the first to pull out the card! Soooo lucky!

I agree with smhooper. I can't shop with my boyfriend at all! He's so close to me that it makes it hard for me to shop and he does this to frustrate me so I can hurry up. But when he doesn't rush me (which is rare) I do ask for his opinion and it does help me But I'd rather shop with a girlfriend.

noooo i love my fiance to pieces but...he is the worst to shop with. i am the easiest shopper to begin with, but he is always like 'are we done, can we go, why do you have to go here...give me a game plan' HELLO im shopping

lol i'd never make my guy go shopping with me, i am the most annoying shopper and will deliberate and agonize over certain items (should i get it? i want it! but it costs too much!) but grocery shopping together is really fun.

My boyfriend likes to shop more than I do, and I like to take him along for approval! I don't NEED it per se, but I want him to like what I wear. If he says, "It's OK," it goes back on the rack! I don't want to waste my money on clothes that don't do a thing for me!

On top of that, he is so patient--he complains that I spend too LITTLE time looking in a store (if nothing catches my eye, I'm out of there). Now if he could only remember for my birthday the things I point out in a store...I guess that's asking too much!

He's actually okay when we're shopping for me, but is terrible when we're shopping for him. He can't make any decisions and gets frustrated if he doesn't like the first thing he sees.

Haha no thanks, men always complain that you're taking forever to shop. It makes me feel hurried (even though I'm a very fast shopper).

He goes shopping with me pretty often but I do prefer to go alone. When I can't decide on something though I always end up sending him a picture to get his opinion. He can't always tell me his opinion on clothing in person but he can choose through text message?

I'm with Marni! My last boyfriend wanted to go just to approve of the things I was buying. If I go to shopping with a guy though it's most likely going to be my gay guys who will tell me if I look good or bad!

My boyfriend hates shopping, but he goes because it makes me happy. He's good at picking out things for me, and is brutally honest about something not being worth the money, looking too plain, or not a good choice on me. He definitely keeps me from buying everything I see because I can do that...I go a little crazy sometimes. However, he refuses to look for clothes for himself, so when I go alone, which I do more often than anything else, I buy things for him.

My boyfriend actually has to DRAG me to a store to try stuff on. I have a very awkward figure, so I'm easily discouraged when I try stuff on. He loves it though, and it makes me him happy, so I go along!

I love when my bf goes shopping with me but its rare. He gets impatient when I try on fifty things and dont like any of them, but he always offers his opinion or points out something that might be better which is nice. Plus he has great taste!

I like shopping with my boyfriend, he helps me pick out clothes and offers his advice. I enjoy shopping alone best, but if I had to choose between shopping with girlfriends or with my man I would definitely choose my boyfriend. I hate it when my friends try to buy something that I want! lol

I try to avoid shopping with my husband as much as possible! We drive each other crazy in malls!
