I love Sean Hannity

It's a good thing Sean Hannity is exposing Michelle Obama now before she really does damage as the First Lady! What a patriot!

I'm with you Kim, I love Hannity.

I really don't have much respect for Hannity. He regularly says things that aren't based in fact, and entertains guests like the preacher that was saying that Obama wasn't "Pure" because his white mother tainted his black father. He is just so extreme, it is hard to take him seriously, IMO.

And it would be absolutely impossible for Obama to believe we bitter proletariat could possibly form our own opinions on his wife by her behavior and our own perceptions of said behavior. Quite a few of us on the red team very much pride ourselves in the fact that we think for ourselves and don't take what the media feeds us.

Then what do you think of Michelle Obama?

I can see where one would be a bit peev'd by someone miss quoting their spouse. Only natural.

Great, I don't think Obama's comments were about the people who heard what these sources had to say. Your comment sounds as if he made a judgement about the listeners, not the people making the comments.

That is what I was saying. If he didn't think we all fell for it hook, line and sinker, why is the title "Obama blames negative views of his wife on right wing, Hannity?". That seems to sum up what I said.

I don't think it can be said that listeners/viewers can't make up their own minds about subjects the broadcasters bring up. But Obama does have a valid point in the way that Michelle has been rather systematically slammed by certain popular commentators. The media does play a huge role in shaping public opinion by selecting what the public is shown; if coverage of her is more negatively slanted, of course that will drive up her negatives.

At a certain point, though, I think all these questions of political spouses' characters are just a distraction. Really, the less argued about them the better--we're not voting for the First Lady here, as she isn't going to be the one shaping our national policy and the direction of the country. It's a rather low political tactic for either side to take. A joke here and there is inevitable, but a constant barrage of nitpicking isn't productive at all.

I love Stouffer's lasagna - it's the only instant food I allow myself these days. But, the kid wanted tacos so we had tacos.
And I'd vote to have Michelle as first lady no matter who's president - if it's not Barack, her clothes could distract me from my pain.

Maybe First Lady should be a separate election. That could have some interesting results...

people dont like michelle obama? my only impression of her is that he is the good-looking one in the relationship. Not to be super-critical, but its what came to mind when I saw reports of her being beautiful or attractive.

oh, and the women who are quiet like Laura bush are the ones who avoid criticism. its a sexist thing, imo.
