Its a timing and balance thing for me. Too fast, and its assuming and tacky and invasive.

But at the right time, its lovely...and it can be a simple thing, like his hand on your back as he guides you through a doorway or something..had a guy I was seeing once do this to me while we toured an exhibit, and I thought it was not only sexy, but deliciously polite. BUT...(and this is the thing) it was obvious at that point that we got along very, very well.

Timing is very important, and he shouldn't over do it. I had one guy on the first day I knew him practically lay on top of me, so yeah, everything in moderation. (We were hanging out on a bunch of couches)

Definitely a timing thing. He had to know I'm comfortable which is not hard. Now, if we just met, unless we're dancing or the lingering hug, he better not play himself. When I'm uncomfortable, my face will show it. When things are right, he can PLAYFULLY AND APPROPRIATELY touch me.

I agree with Rabid, if it's the first time meeting the guy well then back off but if it's someone your comfortable with then sure why not? I like it when a guy openly shows interest in me in front of others. Since I'm not the type to start the flirting it really kinda reaffirms he is into me and wants to go further.

I'm a very touchy feely person myself, so I love this type of flirt. As long as it's not overdone and, of course, the timing's right then I think this is a fun person to be seeing.

I always touch people when I talk to them (not inappropiately or in a specific intimate way, of course), because that's when they feel most real, otherwise I feel a big distance, like I could be talking with someone who's not even there.
However, when someone makes me nauseous (personality) I try to do anyhing in my power so the person in question knows from my body language that he/she should definitely not touch me anymore (I remove myself from their reach, etc.) It just makes me sooo disgusted I can't even hide it! It shows in my face!

I find it attractive when its subtle, like a light touch on the shoulders or back. But when its more than that I kind of feel violated although I don't mind much if I actually like the guy back because I'm a touchy feely person myself LOL. But I hate it when random people try to touch you and you give them the cold shoulder and they just get more into your space, I once had a guy breathing on my back the worst part is I hadn't even given this guy any attention for that kind of thing to be appropriate. I then moved to another chair and put my legs up on the table and he started 'hugging' my legs, yes it was as gross and freaky as it sounds.

Undecided. Truthfully, I have not met a man who masterly used the power of touch. With every man I had a relationship with, I think initiated the (casual) touching first. In effect, I gave them permission to touch me, as I touched them first. I guess every man I dated were perfect gentlemens.

I fancy myself masterful at using the power of touch, if I do say so myself. I agree - timing and sincerety are key.

i remember going on my first date with my last ex and he would rub my leg while we were in the car. it made me feel a tad uneasy to be honest; after all, i didn't know him ALL that well yet. i would probably lay off on being touchy-feely until you've gotten to know each other a bit better.
