Olympics Countdown Begins With a Flurry of Preparations

The Olympics have revived China's second largest city. Today Beijing glitters with high-profile, modernist buildings, the world's largest airport terminal, and a new National Theater — one of the few cultural monuments built in China in the last 30 years. Now less than 30 days before 8-8-08, spectacular antiterrorism drills are underway and finishing touches are being made. Ohhh I have seen those cops on Segways in DC... I love the ones in Pentagon City mall on the Segways. Talk about a laugh Smiling

I know it's funny lol. One time I was walking to metro and a cop was standing on one, and he laughed...and when he bent hisbody to laugh, it moved forward a few feet and when he stood back up it went back...that made me laugh lol

I just got back from Phoenix and they had security guards on Segways as well. They look so funny but those guys can move!
