Over at BumperActive.com, they're taking Barack Obama's 50 state campaign to heart — they're making a unique fender decal for every state in the union. They have about 20 states done and are cranking out the rest in the next few weeks. You can drop them a line if you want the heads up when your state is ready.

At less than $5 a pop, you could collect your favorite states and trade 'em with friends. Not to mention that 22.5 percent of the proceeds from each sale—that's $1 a sticker —benefits the campaign. Now of course I wish there was a corresponding McCain set, but I can appreciate good design regardless of party — the Arizona one is pretty darn clever. Which of these Obama stickers would you slap on your car?

Christian Louboutin
Cotswold Company

Obamaaaaa!
1Let's have a link to a McCain fundraiser.
2I love the AZ one
3Hey, how environmentally friendly can 50 different bumper stickers be?
4So true, Steph.
5You crack me up Citizen.
6None for me, thanks!
7Wonderful what Obama can do with his campaign money. I guess this is why he so honorably went back on his word to use only public funding. What a hypocrite. There's sure to be much more about-face decisions (Dare I say, "Flip, flop") from BO as he tries to snag Republican voters. For example, his change of mind on reasons for abortion. Whether you agree with him or not, it's yet another example of his saying what he thinks voters want to hear. Nothing new or changed in how he is conducting his political campaign. It's just hypocritical politics as usual.
8steldog1, I might be mistaken, but I don't think it's Obama's campaign making these stickers, I think it's the company, so it really has nothing to do with his campaign money.
And for the record, I think it's a creative idea but I'm pretty anti-bumper sticker, so none of these will be making it to my car.
9He is a bumper sticker hypocrite! Call the press!
I think stefsprl is correct in her assumption.
10There are some good ones at:

13Citizen, you must mean Obama's 57 state campaign
14I still see Kerry bumper stickers on cars in Atlanta area.
Not too many Democrats are putting bumper stickers on their SUVs in my area.
Loads of McC ovals all over the place, though.
15AuntieC, I see what you did there (Dems w/ SUVs)!
Funny, I see just the reverse.
16Of course, here in El Lay, I would honestly expect my car to be vandalized if I had a conservative sticker on it.
Not to mention the credibility I'd lose at work (working with educators).
Lain, that is terrible. But I notice even with my up to date and smart friends think conservatives/republicans are crazy(right wing evangelicals) or stupid(hillbillies). When I disagree and say there is nothing wrong with being conservative, it is just another set of ideas as to how govern the state, they look at me as if I am crazy. Or stupid. And it happens in both camps, but that doesn't make it any less ignorant.
17Hi, this is Kyle, the founder of Bumperactive.com, the site that's doing the Obama stickers. I was just Googling to see who was talking about them, and thought I should respond to Stephley @ #4:
"How environmentally friendly can 50 different bumper stickers be?"
We print all our bumper stickers on demand, in batches every couple of days, using a digital inkjet process (Roland Digital Eco-Sol inks, on Oracal 3451 Glossy Calendar vinyl, if you want to check out the materials). In other words, we're not printing up huge batches of 50 different bumper sticker designs, hoping people will buy them, and then throwing the unpurchased quantities in a landfill. Rather, we carry no inventory, and wait until we have an actual purchase before printing off the next sticker from our big roll of vinyl.
This turns out to be an incredibly cost-effective way to sell bumper stickers. As a side benefit, the production method is about as environmentally friendly as it gets when it comes to selling bumper stickers.
Best, Kyle.
18PS: Also, steldog1, we are entirely unaffiliated with the Obama campaign, although we are donating a portion of royalties to the cause. I support Obama, but I have honestly never spoken to anyone who is affiliated with the campaign (that I know of).
We should probably make this more clear and will add a disclaimer to the site. Thanks for your feedback, y'all. Kyle.
19Damn! That Kyle came from corporate to put the smack down on y'all! Look out!
20Corporate is probably him in his mom's basement.
21Great Sommelier, I like what you're pouring.
22Ouch.
23Smack it, GS!
24trésjolie: I'm already a rather abrasive personality, so there's no point in me pushing it (more than I already do) in the workplace.
I think your perspective changes with age and experience. I used to be what I described as a fiscal conservative / social liberal. Then I got older, and looked more closely at what liberal social policies were doing to our society. Now I'm a full-strength conservative. GS, that was right on target!
25hmmmm...i wonder if Kyle is single? He sounds cute and intelligent! (Or maybe i'm just being a bit of a horndog now that i'm single again!)
26I'm sick of Obama!
27I appreciate Kyle's stopping by to answer my question! Helluva guy.
