The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday of the year! It's also my mom's birthday, so every year we go all sorts of red-white-and-blue crazy at our family barbecue.

A firework show is the only way to finish a day of sun, fun, family, friends, flags, and food! So here is your very own CitizenSugar fireworks display. And tell us — what did you do today to celebrate America the beautiful?

5happy birthday to citizens mom!!
I went out on the river earlier. We had bbq and beer and everyone had red/white/blue every where. Also hillbilly golf!
Hope everyone had a great 4th!
6i just PMd Betty about my 4th of July bbq. I celbrated with three of my old lady neighbors. one is like my grandma, and I love her. One is an extreme environmentalist, and had some kind of boogery stuff on her t-shirt the whole time and I wanted to puke. the third is a raging alcoholic and very conservative, and was drunk the whole time. the drunk one kept going out to turn her burgers on the grill but didn't take a spatula or anything. I would hear her yelp (from the hot burgers) and I have no idea how she turned her burgers. but when she came back in one of her feet had burger juice all over it.
that's my 4th of July. I actually took Lucy to see a parade this morning, so it wasn't all tragic comedy.
7oh I forgot the drunk one said she used my beer can once to turn her burger, but I threw it away after that so I guess maybe she had to use her foot? ????
8I'm in Chile now, so there's no big celebration here. My husband's family did make vegetarian hot dogs and fries and peach crisp, though...and toasted their non-alcoholic beer to the good old USA
9I flew across our nation today to celebrate it's width.
10it's = its
I must have jetlag
11I celebrated by eating French Toast.
12We hosted bbq, good times and lots of routyness. I had to play mother hen a few times so these fools wouldn't bust my furniture. Got fireworks show in San Jose Ca. playing on the new 60" flat screen. Macy's show in N.Y. is next.
Happy Birthday America! and Cheers Everybody!
13Geez, I feel like Uncle Sam - got up early to watch my little niece and nephews ride their bikes in the local parade and just got back from watching fireworks from a park over looking the ocean, where we could see shows from Marina del Rey to Malibu, about a 30 mile stretch. We are unbelievably lucky.
14Watching that video, I thought: there is no country like this country!
15I had the perfect 4th of July, my favorite holiday too!
If you ever get the chance you have to come out here to DC and see their fireworks. Talk about amazing. By the end of the show it was like daylight since the fireworks lit up the sky so much... hope everyone had a great holiday!
16The 3rd is my birthday, and since I had a big exam that night we celebrated it on the 4th back at my hometown. I bbqed my first steaks ever and I just picked out my first brand new car today, so it's been a good weekend.
17So many Independence birthdays here! A late happy birthday to
them all! My late mother's's was on the 4th, and my daughter is on the 5th; she turned 18. (Yes, I'm that old, cripes!) DH actually had to work on the 4th, so we went to Downtown Disney on the 3rd for some family time and dinner. And a visit to the Build-a-Bear workshop.
Stephley, you must not be too far from me, I'm in the South Bay area. We didn't do the fireworks thing, though.
18I've thought a couple times that we were close - I'm around Santa Monica.
19Now, I should have been able to figure that out.
Isn't that an officially designated liberal zone?
Beautiful area, I don't get down there often enough.
I'm in a schizophrenic area: not quite Torrance, not quite Compton.
20Or, as I tell folks who don't know the area, I'm "between the beach and the 'hood."
Ah, a little down the road from us. The closest I've been to you is Ikea.
