I’ve always found that there are two schools of thought when it comes to napping. Either a person thinks they’re the biggest waste of the day or finds them to be an awesome way to spend an afternoon. I happen to fall in the latter category, though it’s rare that such an afternoon arises. We all know that sleep is an important part of both our physical health and mental well-being, so tell me, are you a naptaker?

1I love naps, but I rarely take them because I have trouble falling asleep, and when I wake up I tend to get this yucky still-sleepy, disoriented, slow feeling that persists for hours.
2i hate them. i've never napped without waking up nauseous and depressed.
3Love them... but rarely do they rejuvenate me. I'm usually more tired afterwards!
4I love to sleep!!
5Especially on my days off, I take naps!
You should never take a nap during the day that's longer then 20 minutes. If you take one longer then 20mins you get that nasty confused feeling. 20minutes is totally rejuvinating.
6I am with the poster who said they make me more tired. I am so pregnant now and have 2 small children so any chance I get to lay down is great.
7not so pregnant just pregnant but I still feel like crap at times.
8i love waking up super early on a weekend morning, getting a bunch of stuff done & then coming home to take an afternoon nap so that i'm awake & excited to go out that night.
9I LOVE LOVE LOVE naps!! I frequently took them during the school year because as a college student, of course I'd go to class on a few hours of sleep and still go to bed late. Those naps definitely helped me get through reading assignements.
10when i'm at college i nap almost every day. my work schedule in the summer doesn't allow it unfortunately.
11yess!
definitely.
I like to wake up early and go to bed late, so in order to do that I need to take a nap between 2 and maybe 4 p.m, mainly because I always tend to feel heavy and sleepy after having lunch.
12They're great, though I wish I had time to take more!
It's funny: when I was a little kid and my parents made me take naps, I fought kicking and screaming against it, but now all I want to do is nap!
13They are great!
14Oh, I love me a good nap. I really have never experienced the rejuvenated feeling after waking- I've always been prone to waking up head aches, since I was very young so it doesn't bother me. I just love to lay down, relax and drift to sleep. It's nice on those days I don't need to do anything.
15I take naps once in awhile...usually when I don't get enough sleep the night before.
16But I have to agree with other posters, I usually don't like naps because I wake up and feel disoriented and a little depressed. I only take naps when I need them, usually after I come home after a "long day" at college.
17I'm guilty of napping on the days of my hard workouts. After a warm shower I sometimes curl up in my bed and just pass out for 40 minutes. It rejuvenates me but I don't do it often.
18Only at college
19naps are the best thing in the whole world!!!!!!!
20i take as many as i can!!
yes..
21Rarely. I find that I always end up oversleeping and it messes up my sleep cycle.
22Hell yea... i stay up late night.. even though my body tells me to sleep. So During the school year I schedule a nap after each class! Keeps this night owl form dying.
23Oh and FYI the average sleep cycle is about 90 mins... so to wake up really refreshed take an hour and 1/2 nap. And try not to wake up mid sleep cycle b/c that will really f-you up.
24college life = loads of naps
25I could not have survived college so far without naps!!! They are my life.
26I am a huge fan of the power nap however I rarely ever get them.
27My bf jokes that I could fall asleep anywhere, at anytime. And no, I'm not narcoleptic (sp)! I just love naps.
28I used to have a job where I had to wake up at 3am. By 3pm that day I HAD to take a nap or I'd crash by 6pm. I would only allow myself a 1 hour nap and it had be done by 4pm or I couldn't fall asleep that night.
I no longer have that job (thank goodness) but still enjoy a nap on the weekends.
I LOVE THEM!
29I ADORE naps haha but I try to limit them a little cause I don't think it's all that healthy to have them all the time unless you have to because of your daily schedule.
30Definitely one of my FAVORITE things to do. I don't care who knows it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE naps!
31I wish! I am almost physically incapable of napping. I HATE it. I'm sooo jealous of those people that can fall asleep in an instant. My mind just goes a mile a minute whenever I try.
32i'm the worst sleeper
I'm with you MeggyPoodles. I am the worst sleeper and have to be completely exhausted to even consider a nap.
33I just finished testing for a sleep disorder (overnight study and then 'nap test' the next day) and will get my results soon-- but as of high school, I really cannot SURVIVE without naps
it'd be nice to have all the extra time, but unless I get several 1-2hour naps a day, I
literally cannot function
I'm not lazy! I hate how judgmental people can be about naps sometimes.
34I absolutely LOVE naps. I agree that I wake up feeling even more tired but I love being able to curl up in bed and not having to worry about waking up for anything. I just read that "scientists have proven in recent years that the human body requires only as much sleep as the brain will allow it." So I guess my brain is to blame for the 3 hour naps I'm guilty of. I just love to sleep!
35I might take one in a little while. I love them and always feel so much better when I wake up. I love feeling cozy and relaxed.
36I feel sick after naps. I've never met anyone else who had this happen. Now I see I'm not alone!
37I absolutely love to nap. My boyfriend gets on my case all the time because after class is over for the day I go straight to his house and crash for hours. He's finishing his work for the day (he works from home)so its not like we'd be spending time together anyway. It gets me through my long college life days. I can literally take 5 hour naps and have no problem falling asleep at night. Its quite amazing how much sleep my body needs
38I have been in nap mode after work for the past couple of weeks and I don't really like it because I can't go to sleep at a decent time and end up tired and wanting another nap the next day. It's a horrible cycle.
39Nooo way, I hate taking naps. When I wake up from them, I feel like poop. I usually feel even worst than before! Its terrible. And definately a waste of my day, even if I have nothing else planned.
All that to say, I just feel terrible when I wake up from a nap.
40I love to take naps, but when I do, I can't get to sleep when it's time, because I'm too wound up.. I wish I could fall asleep more easily, but maybe if I could, I'd nap too often... vicious cycle!
