Honestly, I've never had butterflies in ANY relationship past like 1 month. I mean, of course there are things that my BF does that make me smitten, but actual stomach flip-flops? Not so much.

Seeing him when he is interacting with my son.

When he softly kisses my neck. And when he compliments me on my intelligence and tells me how sexy it is that I'm smart and gorgeous

when he tickles me and kisses me before he leaves for work.

That moment when your all alone and you look at each other... it doesn't matter if you smile or you laugh it gets me everytime

Definitely when we make out and when he calls me "Clare Bear" because no one ever calls me that...surprisingly

His puppy eyes in a grocery or kitchenware store. Think Remy from Ratatouille. Right now, he works freelance. So, he spends ample time at home working and doing other things, lol. When I come home from work, I am occasionally greeted by mouth-watering aromas. I'm often at a lost for words and all I want to do is drag him to the bedroom for the few minutes it takes until whatever he's baking is done.

Everything about him. I still swoon when I see him.

Also, I love the fact that he feels the same way about me. I catch him looking at me a lot. He has an intense gaze -- he stares at me in that I-have-to-have-you sort of way (DearSugar, I'm borrowing your expression, as it describes his gaze perfectly). There were a couple of times when other people were trying to talk to him, but he flat out ignored them, as he stared at me when I walked into the room. LOL

heres a list for things that gives me butterflies:

1.when he kisses me.. but not just any kiss, those passionate filled ones where he just pulls me in even closer and holds my head in his hands.... yeah im a hopeless romantic sometimes.

2. when he sends me a text during the day when i least expect it. it always puts a smile on my face knowing hes thinking of me. (we have different providers, so our texts are limited to each other)

3. when he sends me a text right after a date saying how great of a time he had.

4. when he wants to do something for me. example: last night we were at a friends party in his neighborhood and he offered to walk me back to his house where my car was. i told him that he doesnt have to and he can stay with the guys (i was the only girl left) and that i can get to my car quite alright. then he said that he wanted to.

when he says i love you when i'm least expecting it.

The other day it totally caught me off gaurd! We were at a friends house and complaining about the local weather [hello silicon valley just turned up the temp to what? 100?!?!] and I made a remark about him wearing two shirts [a button down and undershirt,] and then was wondering if he was wearing a tank top underneath since he usually wears those instead of the undershirts. He said no just the shirt, and exposed part or his chest. it was an instant turn on.

he's not an amazingly good looking guy, but for some reason 90% of the time I look at him, i want to just throw him down onto any cushionny surface and have at him. and that was no exception.

When he calls just to say he misses me...and I just saw him an hour ago!

when he wraps his arms around me (from behind) and kisses my neck. Though sadly that doesn't happen often.

When he bites the back of my neck while we are having sex and he's behind me. It gives me chills.

when i watch him play sports. and when he wears basketball or lacrosse shorts and i can see his amazing sexy calves...

When he randomly kisses me like he hasn't been able to for days. He grabs me and pulls me to him and kisses me so hard, it leaves me breathless.

And completely turned on.

theres so many things, I could just go on and on haha.

I think.. waking up beside him still does. And when I see him after not seeing him for a long time (which doesnt happen very often), and when he makes me supper And well.. I guess just everytime I see him, when he smiles at me, the way he looks at me..

everything? haha 4 years and he still manages to give me crazy butterflies just by standing there.

I'm with kiwitwist. When he wraps his arms around me from behind and kisses my neck. I love that.

Random texts, calls, notes, flowers etc. are always nice too

When he runs to me if I'm hurt. Literally if I fall down he'll come running from wherever he is to see if I'm okay.

Yeah, haven't felt that feeling in a loooooong time. I mean, he does cutesy things..but I don't get butterflies at all.
