Even if you aren't a lingerie girl per se, a bra is mandatory if you're at all endowed in the chest area! Of course, women come in a myriad of sizes and shapes, but Glamour magazine has come up with the average woman's bra size. Can you guess what it is?
1 of 1Question 1

Dunelm Mill
Buti
Hogan
This is so weird that this popped up! I JUST had a serious talk with my best friend about her getting a boob job!
1Yay! 100 % !!!! I feel that I made a "smart" guess- it's scary how much that has changed!
2Of course it's not 36D. finding my size(which is the latter) is like finding a needle in a haystack, and extremely frustrating.
3I thought it was 34c.
I used to be a 36c. Not anymore - Ima 34c again. Its going to be easier to find my bra size now.sweet.
4RockAndRepublic, I'm a 36D ... I buy my bras at Victoria's Secret.
5That was a lucky guess.
It's tough to find my size, too.
6I've been able to find it online, but I've never spotted one locally. I thought about making my own.
I wear a 36C. Yay for me!
71/1.
oh no! im a measly 34B! I need to step my game up. hahaha lord it took me forever just to step out of the A's
8*sits in a corner with the A-cups*
9lol rockandrepublic, im a 34DD... can you guess how hard it is for me to find a bra????
10i'm with you alliallialli. i realized at my fourteen year old sister's birthday party that i was the flattest one there
11i read this in glamour, and every other magazine ever. not shocking, its just because everyones getting implants these days. it doesnt say NATURAL breast size.
12Average? Average? I'm AVERAGE?? I'm a 36C as you may have guessed
D's would've been nicer tho
13Got it right! I'ma 34B, but my sis is 36DD. So the average would be like an C!
14My Size! and i got it right~!!~!~!~!~ The average size would be smaller if it weren't for the obesity crises and all the hormones we eat in meat, farmed fish, and dairy though^^
15Yikes!
Cow hormones much?
16I am a 34DD naturally... I can actually find bras in my size at Target these days. Course, I am preggers right now so I am like a 34G which you can only find on the internet...so annoying!!!
17I am a 34DD naturally... I can actually find bras in my size at Target these days. Course, I am preggers right now so I am like a 34G which you can only find on the internet...so annoying!!!
18Sorry for the double post!!!!
19I'd think it has less to do with plastic surgery and more to do with hormones in food and all the hormonal birth control.
Scary that it changes our bodies so much!
20I thought it was 34C but then I second guessed myself - either that or I was hoping I was closer to "average" than I really am (I'm a 34B, and that's after having 4 children lol, but I do appreciate that they are not saggy, they're still perky at 40 years old)
21Is this average natural? Or does this include boob jobs too?
I guess I'll go join the others in the corner.
22*also going to the corner*
23Um, id say C's since a lot of people are overweight these days. Not saying everyone with c's are overweight. That is not what I mean at all. Anyways, Id say B's or C's. In some states D's with all the plastic surgery thats going on.
24I'm not mentioned on the list lol, yeah maybe ill have to resort to implants to get B's.
25yay i'm average!
26I have 34Ds, but would like to join everyone else in the corner... it's probably braless over there, and way more comfy.
27We've been drinking milk w/ hormones for longer than 9 years. I'd say it has more to do with obesity. My sister went from a 34B to a 36C when she gained 15 pounds. She's not obese AT ALL but those 15 pounds were enough for a cup size and an expanded chest measurement.
I'm 32C and it's nearly impossible to find that anywhere. I finally just succumbed to wearing 34C because it's widely available and I had more selection. I just wear it on the tightest setting.
28btw, if it were hormones, we'd be 34C, not 36C. The 34 to 36 implies weight gain.
29lol *runs to the corner with the others* 34A here!
30i'm hiding with the other i'm a 34A
31I guess I'm somewhat average -- natural 34C. But truthfully, being well-endowed is relative. A 34C on a petite woman (like myself), looks huge. Someone once presumed I had breast implants. On the other hand, a 34C on a taller, statesque woman looks elegant, and less buxom. It's all relative.
32geez, I'm a 32A.
33Haha its funny, and I dont even drink milk or eat dairy. I don't think its due to hormones in the foods we eat, when it comes to the chest size. Menstruation at an earlier age more likely. Eating dairy and such and eating it to excess can lead to weight gain though.
34Whenever I gain weight my boobs are never affected. It would be nice to have at least one positive come from a few extra lbs.
35Prior to my doing regular HIIT cardio, I was at a 34C+ (+= meaning I had some spill over sometimes) and when I recently got measured due to my bras being huge, I'm sadly at a 31B and some change. The lady at VS who measured me, commented on my awkward sizing. It would be nice to still be sporting some C's. I do not understand how some women are so lucky in that department. Another one of the Big Man's cruel jokes, I guess. The trade off is I have a firm butt compliments of hundreds, and hundreds of Smith Machine squats, lunges, one-legged squats, split squats, Romanian squats, bench sit down squats. I guess if I want, I can always go buy a pair.
36i read in one of the many articles with this "shocking" news.. that it was because of implants. i dont agree that its hormonal bc whoever said that.. or in dairy? the only reasons, i think, for the increase are surgery, and probably obesity.
37Natural 36D here. And I hate it. Were it not for the grisly scars a breast reduction leaves you with, I would have had these puppies shaved down ages ago.
38I'm a 30C which translates into no bras fit me lol.
39got it! i am just over average, at a 38c.
40Since I've gained a bit of weight, I'm now a 42D! (I have a big rib cage). I use to be 40C. I can literally never find bras in a 40 inch or higher. Usually I feel like my bras restrict my breathing. I wear those extra inserts but they are still very uncomfortable for me.
4134 C here. I guess I'm pretty average....I like me, lol.
4232C here. Like glowingmoon, lots of people think they're fakes. I guess they look a little disproportionate. Thanks I guess?
43I'm a 32D at 5 feet tall... except, they actually don't look like they're D's, but they were professionally measured!
44I'm a 34 A, but actually because 32" of it are the size of the chest and 2" for both of the boobs. LOLZ!
45I just realised this is the first time I've been able to view a post like this without feeling incredibly bad about myself and jealous of everyone smaller than a D cup. I had a breast reduction in February, going down from an E cup to a B cup, and I couldn't be happier.
(And Sporky, I don't personally think my scars are "grisly" at all. They're actually not all that noticeable. Plastic surgeons specialise in minimising the appearance of scars;
they do their best to make it as neat and scar-free as possible.)
46lmao Beautiful Disaster, i swear that i have such $hitty luck with finding pretty, sexy 36D(if at all) bras. Hell, i've probably come across your 34DD before ever finding mine.
Once i see a 36C/38C, i actually know i wont find my size.
Kikidawn, i actually saw a 36D VC bra on Ebay.
47Nine years ago, I was in high school and a 34B, now I am a 36C - I guess I am totally average.
4834DD.. needless to say it's impossible to find bras, and even moreso when it comes to sports bras (that HOLD them in and don't let them bounce everywhere when you're jogging!)
49I'm a 32C and those suckers are hard as hell to find in the store. I really wish bras were organized by company then size, NOT company then style.
It took well over an hour of searching the ENTIRE lingerie area a couple of weeks ago until I finally found a 32C -- I bought it. I haven't seen one since and it's the first one I've managed to find, haha.
I usually have to settle with buying clearance bras or regular priced bras in the wrong band size and hand altering them so the band is smaller -- it's not exact, but it works.
