The townhall/obama article is ridiculous. The responses there say my sentiments exactly.
1I was once on a trawler in the North Atlantic when we dragged in a pretty big haul of cod. When we opened the net there was a beautiful mermaid caught in the net. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes upon and she smiled at me and told me that she had hoped to meet a man who would love her and teach her the ways of the "surface people".
I must have got about $5/lb for her at the fish market. Never came across a mermaid ever again but if I did, I'd probably get at least $12/lb today. At least!
