Wow. It's nice to know that Lane Bryant fired their old marketing team. Now if we can just get Dress Barn to change its name. . .

that just reminds me of this old funny guy I used to work with who had no sense of when to keep his mouth shut. I complained to him once that I was feeling fat. his response is "ohhh no you don't want to have to start shopping at lane bryant". How did he know about lane bryant? his wife was a twig and he looked like he hadn't been to a mall in 40 years.
1Wow, I can't even believe that's an actual advertisement. She talking about giving girls a complex :-\
2I'm not surprised.
Similar boy sizing used to be called "husky."
3Actually it would have been huskier then because we didn't have the amount of obesity we have now, people ate smaller portions and were generally more physically active. I can't look at the word chubbie with thinking of Tobias Funke.
4Oh and I forgot to mention that sizing was different back then, even though I don't know how it was for children's clothing.
5
change the name of the dress barn!!!!
6wow, i wonder if people really did sign up
7Whoa.. as a former employee of Lane Bryant, I am so glad this is not what I had to see, ever.
This made so much sense because when I was 14, the only place my grandmother could think to take me shopping was LB. I had no idea they were this old, though I did know they existed in the 70s because my mother used to be a model and she worked for them for a while. I will have to ask her about this.
And to #7, I dont think they had a choice, esp back then.
